While I acknowledge that many of these conference titles were won versus questionable competition in turn of the 20th century regional conferences... It's not like South Carolina didn't spend nearly half a century in the SIAA and Southern Conferences.

Their one coference championship was bookended by 4-6 campaigns, too.

What difference does that make, the Gamecocks don't live in the past.

They live in an imaginary future where they are perennial National Champions.

To be fair, I'm fairly certain they were an independent for many years before joining the SEC which may contribute to their lack of conference titles.

Whether or not that actually would have mattered is a question all to itself.

in their defense, how many of those teams would have a conference title if they were in the SEC?

also, we havent had any in a few years (yeah, we won the east in 2007, but not the whole thing) either. as far as im concerned, id like to win one right now, not think about the ones we won a few years ago. just my opinion...

btw, i HATE south carolina and all their fans. i just dont think any of those title statistics really matter outside of the summer when we have nothing else to talk about. or if we had just won one.

SClite joined the SEC at the beginning of the 90's. Their one championship is from the ACC.

Yep, we are also aware of that. Past records, past stats, etc. don't matter when the teams hit the field. I'm just really surprised how confident y'all are that y'all will destory us and that we don't have a chance. Amazing.

I'm amazed how easily people read what they want to out of unrelated posts. I was firing one across the bow at the folks who came here just to troll.
