This is not an exhaustive list, just some of the ones I found interesting or relevant today. These were ones that at least made it to one of the Congressional floors for a vote:

Religious:
-There were a bunch of amendments, for and against stating that we were a Christian nation, or not. none of them made it very far.
-There was an amendment that wanted to ban anyone who had worked in a religion from holding office
-There was an amendment that wanted to ban anyone who had worked in a religion from having more than a million dollars in wealth.
-There was an amendment that wanted to ban any government money every going to any religious cause, building, repair, or function. Those darn catholics
-Prayer in school being protected

Weird:
-in the 1800s there was one to change our nation to the "United States of Earth"
-Both pro and anti-flag burning
-Both pro and anti-dueling
-Protected Parents Rights, giving expanded power and protection to parents over their children limiting the government's involvement.

Government Changes:
-disbanding the senate, the compromise was the 17th amendment and the direct election of senators
-in the 1930s there was a proposal that a declaration of war had to be a national vote, and anyone who voted yes was put into the draft
-later in the 1930s it was just that it had to go to a national vote
-A ban on treaties that broke the US Constitution, and a limit on Executive Orders, put to vote twice, second time failed by 1 vote
-Multiple attempts to remove the term limits from the president
-Multiple attempts to abolitioning the Electoral College, and or making significant changes
-Balanced budget amendments, multiple times, but somehow each time it comes up, only one of the houses gets the two thirds majority required
-Congressional term limits
-Single Subject Bills (no riders/pork)
-Repealing the requirement for the president to be a natural born citizen
-Removing birthright citizenship has been voted on multiple times, before Trump.
-Limiting a national convention of the states to only a single amendment, theoretically to make the states more likely to hold a national convention because the fear of a runaway convention would be gone.
-Both sides, Rs and Ds, proposed amendments to set the number of Supreme Court Justices at nine, at the same time. neither side would vote on the others proposal, and it failed, even though the support, if combined was there.

Wealth:
-Amendments capping wealth at a million dollars, 1930s
-Amendments capping income at a million dollars, 1930s
-Amendments capping investment income, 1930s
-Banning anyone with more than a million in wealth from holding office

While there has never been an official Convention of the States there have been tons of attempts, with every state but Hawaii calling for one. The Bill of Rights and the 27th amendment were both passed by Congress before the states could create a convention. Also the 17th, 21st, 22nd, and 25th amendments had heavy support amongst states for conventions, that forced congress to act.

Some of the amendments proposed by the Convention:
-Direct election of senators, @hog88 there was a lot of support for this over time
-Joining a world federal government
-Congressional appointments and electoral college, the last state had accepted, when the main promoter Senator Everett Dirksen died.
-Balanced budgets, campaign financing both pro and anti what we have, bans on pacs, or limits
-Gun control
-term limits

Weird. some of these I didn't know existed.
yeah, there were a lot that made me go hmmm.

it was also interesting to see when some of these first came up.

It seemed like a lot of the ones where both sides of an argument tried to get amendments, came right after the other. so if the "pros" tried to get an amendment saying yes to something, and it failed; the "cons" would then try to get an amendment saying "no" to that thing.
