Anyone who thinks UT is still a top 15 or so job is deluded. It's on par with Arkansas/Miss st. now. 10 years ago this wasnt the case, but the program is a joke now.

You could have said the same thing about GA and Penn St. 2 years ago. Both of them went and got alumni coaches and are top 10 teams in just 2 years. So, Tee Martin might be our best option, although I think he's not ready yet, and I would hate to see him come here and fail.

Have we even talked to Jimbo Fisher? This AD seemed to have Schiano on the brain, and that was his # 1 choice all along.

Yes, there are many teams in the same boat. How about Texas and Nebraska. USC hasn't been relevant since Carrol's departure. Get the right HC with solid Assistants and the Vols can get back on track.

How do you know this ????? source.....fake news...your part of the problem with UT

not part of the problem just stating fact. We struggled to get a coach after Kiffin and ended up with Dooley, Butch was our 3rd or 4th pick. There is an issue if you cant see though that you are part of the problem.

Not saying we cant land a top tier Coach, what I am asking is why in the hell is Tennessee, great facilities, best fan base, having to settle over and over for a 2nd tier head coach. Even Kiffin...big name, but reality was he was a failed head coach in the nfl with good college OC experience. Dooley was like out 5th pick! He was a damn AD playing part time head coach at lou tech, Butch again 3rd or 4th pick when we couldn't land Strong, Kelly, or Smart.
