we didn't force all those turnovers, and we sure as heck didn't count on over 100 yards in lost feild position by the opponent b/c of penalties. Also, we ran away witht hat game. Being in the stadium after a rough start, it was very obviously a beatdown. The last TD they scored was irrelevant. Also, we didn't "get lucky". We capitalized on opportunities. Period.
I agree for the most part.
The play calling is utterly mind boggling at times.
We already know Dobbs can't throw for the most part but the play calling is about comparable to circa 1991 Sega Genesis Madden.
Ask yourself this...if you were a WR recruit and were neutral about TN, would you want to play in this offense?
Nope they can't. I think after a decade+ of mediocrity fans have forgotten how to appreciate a win. Now all they see are negatives. It's like they don't want our team to do well because they wouldn't know what to do with it
We beat a good team with a good coach and are 2-0. Let that sink in for a bit. Now, read the thread title. "Garbage " is a bit strong don't we think?
I know several will bash me but who cares. This offense is garbage. Our Oline is garbage. The play calling is garbage. We were bailed out by penalties, turnovers and lucky breaks.
Dobbs had a great day rushing but still makes horrible reads of the secondary and even worse boneheaded passing plays. This needs to get fixed quickly. CBJ needs to hire a new OC at the end of the season, new Oline coach, and a QB coach.
We had to go to overtime with a no-name team at home with 3 times the talent and then beat a team with a new coach, new JUCO QB, lesser talent, trailed 14-0 and came back and won with the help of 6 turnovers... and we haven't even hit the SEC yet... Let that sink in.

I honestly don't understand why you claim to be a fan. Criticism is one thing, but your every post has been nothing but bashing our team. If I disliked a team as much as your posts, I wouldn't waste my time on their boards. We all get frustrated, and the majority point out those frustrations, but you've done nothing but bad mouthed Tennessee since kickoff last night.
I bashed last night and am pointing out our shortcomings today because it is frustrating to watch a team oozing with talent that is not playing up to their potential with a coaching staff that after year three, is still making huge mistakes, getting out-coached, and not fully developing he great talent we have on the field. I don't know about you, but I actually love UT more than you know and am sick of being irrelevant for the past 6-7 years and don't want to have a team that is average in the SEC and we just get happy they get to go to a bowl. These kids work their tales off and they and this program deserve to take it to the next level and compete for at least SEC championships and it doesn't look like it will happen with this current group of coaches... They keep getting passes and making excuses and I feel like these kids, the University, and the fans deserve better. My opinions clearly are just opinions, and this is a board made up of opinions. I am a passionate person who is very competitive and can't stand watching people not make the most of talent, especially when they are getting paid a large amount of money. At this point, it is what it is, so I will lay off and just let the season take it's course... funny though, I see folks all over these boards saying basically the same thing, but I am singled out... NBD. I will try not to offend and mess up everyone's skip through the orange tulips and will be thinking about them in about two weeks. :hi:
You have a right to be critical and state your opinion just like others. You just seemed to take it past that. Believe me, I was sick at my stomach most of the game, and even after cause of the things you stated. I just took your words as almost hatred rather than criticism. Butch better step up or he's gonna have everyone mad. I do apologize cause I'm not saying you shouldn't post, it just seemed there was no love for the team at all.

Peyton for Head Coach. Let CBJ build mailboxes for the university. (That was a joke...I'm not actually advocating ousting CBJ...yet)
