Go Big Orange. NO ONE wants to play us. We can play against and beat anyone and will learn how to put a whole 4 quarters together.

Offense: This unit has unreal confidence right now. I don't think it's a question that Kamara starts. My bets are that we see Thomas starting at center and still see Smith over Byrd. Byrd was weak at times as a blocker.

QB: Dobbs
RB: Kamara (Good Lord, he is built for this offense. Kelly is a great compliment. Both have to hold on to ball)
WR: Malone (Rough game, but I bet he will be back with a better game next week)
WR: Jennings
WR: Smith
RT: Hall (Wow this unit changed when he got back against Florida)
RG: Jones
C: Thomas (He played well and Weisman will not be practicing for at least a couple days after that hit)
RG: Robertson
RT: Kendrick

Defense: What a game... Other than the last 7 minutes of the game, with 5 starters out, this D was shut down. Incredible...

DL: Barnett
DL: Vickers
DL: Tuttle (Really hope O'brien was precautionary... Unsung hero for the year)
DL: Vareen
LB: Kirkland (Of all the injuries, Kirkland is the one we need back the most).
LB: Jumper (Even if McDowell is back, I think Jumper starts here... But we REALLY MISSED McDOWELL at the end of the game... I think it cost us the game)
NB: Gaulden (Baller)
CB: Foreman
CB: Mosely
S: Kelly
S: Abernathy

My predictions:

1. The Offense is humming. 35 points
2. The Defense gets Kirkland back and played its best game for 3.5 quarters. Holds bama to 28 points
3. Intangibles: For 3 years, Butch Jones has run low penalty, low turnover teams to a point that it had become UTs brand... He can get it back! Plus, no way we have this much bad luck again.

Go Vols... Great work by coaches. Let's play our first complete game of the year next week.

I would love nothing more then to beat bama and then watch A&M beat bama. Getting a 2nd chance at them on a neutral field.

I would have taken a 63-0 loss to A&M to get a win next week.

At least if UT is too injured to beat the Tide we won't hear "they could come back against other teams but not Bama!"

In a way, a loss could end up better for this team to get focused, get disiplined and go outwith some urgency since Florida is nipping at their hills.

Tyler Byrd needs to start over Smith. He is just better at this point. I am kind of surprised that KMac isnt on your starting DL.

I am worried about the defense. It gave up over 300 yards on the ground and almost 600 total yards. Thats just not good. Yes we almost won but those stats are just not that good.

Bama is big time. Their QB is the real deal and their defense is unreal again. As if missing Sutton and JRM wasnt enough, its hard to say who will be healthy enough to play next week. I dont see us having the depth to beat Alabama. I think we lose next week. After that, hopefully we win out.

Alabama defense is fast and strong. Arkansas OL can not contain them. They play very disciplined on that side of the ball.

IMO, if they start dropping like flies next week, we can hang with them for 4 quarters.

The defense actually played great until the last 7 minutes of the game when they were tired, depleted, and selling out to prevent ANY yards and to get the ball back. aTm had 190 of their rushing yards in the last 4 minutes

Our defense still is not playing consistently well. In REGULATION in three SEC GAMES:
FL - 28 points
Ga - 31
ATM - 35
That is around 31 ppg.

On offense, we have scored 38, 34 and 35 which is over 35 ppg.

Even though the offense needs to clean up the stupid mistakes and execute better, the numbers show that the defense needs to play more consistently. It has great stretches like tonight, where it kept us in the game in the second half. But then once we got close and then tied, the defense crumbled.

When you average over 35 points in SEC games, you shouldn't be losing.

I can honestly say that I have no freakin clue what will happen next week. This team is beyond prognostication. I know this we are must see TV for CFB and that is great moving forward. Can we get it done? Hell yeah!

We are a must-see, that's for sure. We've been blown out at various points of the past three games, but are 2-1 with a Hail Mary victory and an OT loss.
