Linebackers

Some specific questions about our linebackers.
1. Who are our fastest 2 -- Spillman and Perlotte, maybe?
2. Speaking of Perlotte ... he can add 10-15 lbs of muscle in off-season, right?
3. Who looks better of Burns vs. Harmon?
4. Any chance Gass sees reps at ILB?
5. Are incoming frosh Rouse and White EEs here for Spring practice?

Thank you.
Perlotte is definitely the fastest and should add anywhere from 15-25 lbs realistically bc of his frame

I’d like clones of Eric Berry, Deon Grant and Dale Carter….
That would Be nice. Most DBs play both positions in high school but safety is requires unique skill set.

Deon Grant was a beast , esp vs Florida in 1998. I thought for sure it was going to be a FL TD when Deon came out of nowhere to make a huge int. He covered so much space in seconds.

Spillman, Perlotte and Harmon are all talented just inexperienced. Perlotte is the quickest of those 3 and can cover. Love the way he flies around even if it does get him out of position sometimes due to inexperience. Harmon played quite a bit in the bowl game and graded out well on PFF.

True freshman EEs White and Rouse are both top 100 overall recruits and top5 LBs. White is bigger and a thumper. MLB size. Rouse is more like Perlotte and probably a WLB in college unless he just gained massive weight in college and lost some speed/quickness. Both of these 2026 LBs are extremely talented and were highly sought after by UGA, Bama, OSU and everyone else. They were elite in HS and project as NFL players.

We are VERY young in that LB room...but also extremely talented. Coach Inge has landed 2 Bluechip LBs per cycle in his first 2 cycles at UT. That's huge. When these guys develop and can play smart and disciplined they can be as good as any LB group in the country. Right now, they just need experience. There will be growing pains. Would be nice to add 1 veteran LB from the portal for leadership IMO
