Lathers (will be dominate force), Propst (SEC caliber), AJ (instant upgrade), Maggit (Terrell Suggs type per R Shannon -I believe who said this), Crump (strong and fast), AustinJ (coaches raved about his tenacity), and King. Let me know if I missed anyone that could make a huge impact here. This combo will be filthy nasty very soon.

Thoughts or additions?

I'm still not sold on Propst. Hopefully he proves me wrong. I do think Maggitt will turn out to be a terror as a pass rusher wherever he plays.

Propst has already established himself. Anyone who's been watching knows he will be a major contributor next season.

Are we running a 3 - 4 defense now? If so, hope to see all of these guys on the field and the more linebackers, the better.

So maggit will be a LB? He's listed as DE. Unless we go to 3-4 this aint happening IMO.

We officially run a "Multiple D".

I saw elements of the 4-3, 3-4, 4-2-5 and 3-3-5 last year. I don't know if that was by choice or out of necessity due to ongoing injuries and lack of depth.

If I had to guess based on the way that we're recruiting is towards a base 3-4 but still a multiple defense. We face too many types of offenses to sell out to one scheme to suit every game. But, yes, I would say it looks like we're recruiting the prototypical 3-4 NT, ILB and OLBs.

He was recruited here as a LB.

According to Dooley Maggitt will be a DE

Chavis did this too with his defense but we still ran a base 4-3.

As far as the lb-de debate, you cant be more conflicting than this so does anyone really know?

My guess is he will see the field at any position he can play.

Multiple D. Maggitt is an edge rusher and will drop in coverage in some defenses. Propst is going to be a really good Mike. Lathers stays what he is and becomes All-SEC.

he needs to add about 50 pounds atleast to play end, i see him maybe bulkin up to like 240, not too much of a stretch seeing as hes 6'3'', and playing a hybrid role, he could wreak havoc at that position.

Here's to no more 4-4-4 defenses this year!

Vereen was getting some minutes and playing decent ball late in the season, don't count him out.
