My first memory of listening to JW on the radio, was the 85 Sugar Bowl. He is without a doubt, one of the best radio voices of all time. It was something special to see JW going out calling a NC season.

I've said on here before, the '85 Sugar Bowl was the greatest game I didn't see. I actually watched it several years later, but in 1985 my wife and I were so poor we couldn't afford a TV, so I had to listen to it on the radio. I waited several years to even watch the game because I was sure there was no way watching it would be more enjoyable than JW's radio version. I was right. The game was great to watch, but to this day John's commentating of the game is what I remember the most.

My all-time favorite Vols LB, has to be homegrown TN kid Eric Westmorland.

Man, I can still remember that hit he put on a Vandy back during the 1998 NC season. I bet that poor kid can still feel that lick.
