Is this legit?

I don't know that brother-in-law constitutes "immediate family". However, the SEC has an obligation to remove any hint of bias where it can. Just like with Anthony Jordan, I expect after twitter is done blowing up over this that the SEC will quietly ship him out of conference to somewhere like the AAC and we won't hear any more about it.

Well! Well! Well! The truth always comes out. I’d say that there are certain rules for certain teams, and the rest of the teams in the SEC, they have to abide by all of the SEC rules. Greg Sankey, or this SEC king, or whoever, may be the worst in the history in this league. It’s time for these rules of officiating to be changed, and stepped up.

The brotherhood will cover for him even if they do ship him out.

There are dirty referees everywhere.

Good luck cleaning it up another one will just fill it’s spot.

How about providing evaluations/scoring and transparency for each and every game of SEC officials. How does the public know who the best SEC official is? How does the public know who the worst SEC official is? What's the gap between the two? What's being done to close it? What's being done to improve the performance of each SEC official? Does Sankey get to just keep this on his personal Ipad hidden from the world? Where is the professionalism? Where is the accountability? Why do we maintain this jack leg corrupt system in the SEC, so games can be manipulated? It appears that way.

A brother in Law is not immediate family. If it was his sister it would be an issue, his sisters husband is not immediate family. This does not violate the letter of the rule.. but it is a weird gray area when it comes to the spirit of the rule.

I think I saw one of him in a gray T-shirt with the "A" logo. Unless that one wasn't him.

Here is the official in question from our game with his brother the bama fan.

Notice the underlined part about our game. SMH. This is ridiculous.

Actually it was the Head Linesman who stopped play . His name is Chad Green but cant find anything on him. If the pic showing them offsides on the JG fumble is authentic then this guy as Field Judge was responsible for calling it. Oops meant line judge.

It is authentic but before the snap. The DE adjusted before snap as shown on the overhead view of the play... So he wasn't offsides.

There are plenty of other calls they missed.

Suggested solutions:
- Get Bama grad Steve Shaw out of his post as Director of SEC Officials
- Move SEC officiating office out of Gumpville to Charlotte
- Hire all SEC officials from regions outside the SEC footprint
- Bring SOME transparency to the review/accountability process of refs (Sankey's statement today just reaffirmed the SEC office intends to keep this process super secret. I think the SEC can still attract good refs even if their job evaluations are made public.)

Just bc his brother in law is a bama fan, that really doesnt mean anything. My ex in-laws and I have very little in common.

bama cheats; bama has always cheated, bama has always gotten the calls. And I'm so glad UT fans do NOT have that Black eye on our resume. It makes our 8 straight wins even MORE significant.
