Dang. I can't believe he was still in the game after he got up. I would have thrown a few "just a bit inside" after that.He stayed down for a few minutes. I coach 3rd and he wasn't moving when I got to him. He didn't lose consciousness, but he wasn't there. My first words to him were, "Are you still with us?" It was very scary. When he finally got up he had to pitch to the same kid again because, by rule, the first hit was a dead ball.
This vid was from my team's 7yo World Series last summer. The kid at the plate, CJ, is one of our strongest hitters.

During rec season, we wear jerseys and shorts. Once we get to the District, State and World Series tourneys, we're required to wear full unis. And let me tell you.....there is nothing hotter, in the south, in July, than baseball pants.
Thankfully, for my older son's travel team, coaches can wear team polos and shorts.
