Lincoln will be better next Year??

Lincolns terrible he cant even make chip shots anymore...its time for him to go. We'd have better luck doing what Texas Tech did and having a try out. Daniel Lincoln makes Ray Finkle look like Adam Vinateri

You have my vote to be on duty to worry about the kicker. I'm far more concerned with putting the ball in the endzone.

When you beat people's brains out, making a 43 yarder at the end of the game is meaningless.

Kickers are very, very important.

Tennessee kicking great Alan Duncan's son is a junior in high school in Morristown. He just started playing football this year after his family came back to the states from missionary work in South Africa and has been kicking 45 yard field goals in games. In practice he's kicked a 58 yarder. Just to give some hope for the future...

I think our biggest deficiency in the kicking game is our inability to put the ball in the end zone on kickoffs. HOw many times do we let our opponents start out past the 30 yard line. I would use one of my 85 scholarships to sign a kickoff specialist if that's what it takes. Someboby tell CLK to go see the Trousdale kicker booms it into the endzone tomorrow in Murfreesboro. Sign this kid, he is special. His name is Jared White and check out his shoes.

There are two simple rules of fball that CPF never got; don't go for 2 until the fourth quarter, and never yell at the kicker. I saw a lot of that this year. Hopefully Lincoln will have his head on straight next year with a new start.

Did you happen to catch Saban chewing out Tiffin over the LSU kick? Or Saban chew out Fitzgerald their punter in the iron bowl after they were already up by 3 or 4 scores late in the game? I don't condone the cussing or language he uses but yelling at kickers is needed sometimes.

Tiffin may cost Alabama a shot at playing for the title or even worse losing the title game if he doesn't make kicks. And you don't think Florida's special teams will make Fitzgerald pay for a deep line drive punt?

That being said, when you compare Saban to Fulmer, Fulmer never really yelled at Lincoln. And he should not of because the only kick he missed that mattered was a 30 something yarder against ucla. The others were long bombs that no one really expected him to make anyways but gave him a chance.

Lincoln really took it hard this year. He is ready to work towards next year now. He is goin to put it all behind him and look to a new start. He was really depressed this year with the way he performed and I believe after he missed a few that it really got mental with him.

Kind of like missing a couple of 3 footers in golf it eventually starts to mess with your head and you start getting mechanical and lose all site of just getting it in the hole, or for his case through the uprights!
