Lil Wayne and Lane.....

Lil Wayne is garbage, his music is awful, but then again current rap is def no where as good as it use to be.

Music and pro sports will always be linked. Athletes want to be rock (rap, etc) stars and vice-versa in many instances.

Now, hold it there, bub. You don't get as far as Wayne has gotten in the rap game without a good delivery and flow.

Unless you're Soulja Boy and do those stupid dances, and have a great marketing campaign while decaying rap and hip hop as we know it.

Now Nick, surely you are going to revisit this statement. Against your arguement I will present to you:

1. Milli Vanilli :dance2:
2. New Kids On The Block :dance2:
3. Vanilla Ice :dance2:
4. The Backstreet Boys :dance2:
5. Gerardo :dance2:
6. Ricky Martin :dance2:
7. YOU KEEP GOING THIS COULD BE FUN

What do I have to do to further my rap career?...Go to jail?...sell drugs...what? just curious. He's a joke.

The current Lil Wayne isn't as good as the 02-05 Wayne IMO. But he's right about Soulja Boy. That man is terrible, if anyone is garbage, look no further.

PS, Luda never went to jail or sold drugs, and he's considered one of the greatest

I'll agree to an extent. Certain guys are killing the music, but you also have guys like Cris, TI, Pain, Jeezy, Jody, Busta, and Kanye who keep the heart pumpin

All those in bold have never done any rap songs before, you idiot. You keep this going, you could lower the IQ of this whole entire board.

You don't have to do anything like that to get on top in the rap game. Just, as my previous posts said, a good delivery, good mic presence, good flow, and sick rhymes will get you far today. Kanye never did any of what you just posted, he was raised in middle-class Chicago.

Or, you could be Soulja Boy, and go for the "teeny girly crap" demographic, while having the best marketing campaign ever seen in the rap game.

Look, I was joking you little ds. I was listening to rap before you were a thought so don't tell me what I know. Gerardo sang Rico Suave, which is a rap song. A crappy rap song...but it tells me you're young and not that bright. Are you now saying that all rap has good delivery & flow? All I'm saying Einstein is that there have been plenty of acts to have good delivery & flow (I feel gay for even typing those words, dork) to be super cheesy and successful. Just like your girl Lil' Wayne.
