Yes, it's more Lil John stuff.

I was trying to find out his real name so I checked out his Wikipedia page and found this under the "Personal Life" section. Kind of bittersweet.

He has recently also become a fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers since their adoption of his hit song "Turn Down for What" on third downs, changing it to "Third Down for What." On October 4, 2014, Lil Jon made an appearance via jumbotron encouraging the Volunteers to beat the University of Florida Gators. Tennessee would go on to lose in heartbreaker by one point, but Lil Jon in a tweet after the game claimed that he "still had their back."

As long as it helps recruiting, I'm in support.
Of course "having our back" after a loss, puts him a step ahead of many sports fans.

It might be funny to you but its true. I realize you probably think Lil John is a joke but I can assure you recruits do not...

There are probably a handful of recruits out there saying, "damn, Tennessee got Lil John to come to practice? I might have to check them out now."

They are 17 - 18 year old kids. Their likes and interests differ from yours.

That is awesome!

I remember in high school editing Osama Bin Laden's Wikipedia page to say he gave my physics teacher her first child.

Welcome to the free world !

Ehhhh... MAYBE... Lil Jon is kind of 10 years ago. He has come back as of this spring with some dance/techno music IE: Turn Down For What, but he was most prolific between 2003-2005 when he produced albums with Ludacris, the East Side Boys and Usher. Most recruits were 8-10 years old at that time. While I certainly don't think it hurts, I don't think it's quite to the point of Michigan State having Rich Homie Quan come to their games and practices. I realize that Lil John's name might be more recognizable to a lot of us because of the Dave Chappell show from 10 years back, but today's popular artists are different than the ones of days past.

It's true. Whether people like it or not. I know a lot of people will say "arghh we don't need them anyway if they didn't wanna come here before that" but hey it's how kids nowadays are. We have our legacy class and after that it take a little more to bring them in.

I've seen it already. Kids playing high school football all over social media talking about it. They think it's cool.

Hey.....I mean yeah....If the recruits dig it....Maybe RimminGarfunkel was on to something with renaming Neyland "Da Club." Forget 50cent,bring in Lil John and he can do that song about windows and walls, skeeting, and sweaty balls and da playaz can come up out da field in 4mation and do a tight azz play to intimidate the other team. That would definitely bring in recruits.

Just who I would want associated with my university.

Dude is very savvy and articulate. I feel like most people take his music as his actual personality. He was fantastic on Celebrity Apprentice and by far the most "together" person on there.
