Well, I drove out there for it, knowing it was less than 50-50, so guess I can't complain that the traffic coming back was awful.

But they were close to launching it. Very close.

Glad they aren't going to try again tonight and are waiting until Saturday night. Should have no issues for Saturday so it ought to go.

Well, they are suppose to launch in less than 2 hours. Hopefully everything turns out and they will launch this sucker.

I agree USAF.

I happened to tune in just a couple of minutes before it went up. Nighttime launches are just flat out awesome to watch. Even my 4 year old thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen.

In the hierarchy of specatcles I always will stop to watch . . . I rank shuttle launches just ahead of stadium demolitions.

I did not go all the way over to Cape Canaveral for this one, but saw it from Orlando. Try to imagine a full moon high in the sky. Now take three of them, side by side, and that was about the size of the streak of fire behind the shuttle as it rose into the night. And that's from 40 miles away.

Just an amazing thing.
