Restraunts:
Saul Good (gourmet pizza, chicken and waffles, unpscale pup food) probably my new favorite spot in Lex
Ramseys (meat and three w/best pie in town)
Joe Balognas (Lex's hotspot for pizza)
Cheapside Bar and Grill (food slightly better than the DTG&B in Knox + it is downtown and close to accomadations)
Atomic Cafe (carribean food)
Drakes (connected to one of Lex's most reputable steak houses so you can get a steak, but also has great burgers and upscale pub food)
Merrick Inn (still my favorite among the more expensive offerings in town)
Raisin' Canes (I like Zaxbys, but this is a chicken finger place that makes Zaxbys taste like Kroger chicken)

Places to party:
Cosmic Charlies (used to be Lynaghs music emporium, live music and good beer every night)
Redmons (release your inner redneck)
Cheapside (always dependable for the singles)
Bluegrass Tavern
Busters

I always recommend that people stay downtown at the Hyatt. If you can't get a room there stay on the south side of Lexington. The Beaumont area is nice. The Hamburg area is like Turkey Creek in Knox.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Good info. They're opening a Drake's in Louisville. Glad to hear good things about it. I'm actually down in Knoxville with the in-laws this weekend, but will be tuning in for sure!

The Marriott is really nice to stay at in Lexington too. Sometimes the visiting teams will stay there. You may get the chance to see a Vol or two...

Drakes will be pretty comparable to the Cumberland Brewery...but the food is a little better at Drakes imo.

The Marriott is nice but it is further away from attractions. If you like to drink, take a cab. The Hilton Suites off Nicholasville road is nice too, just a couple of miles from Commonwealth Stadium, but too damn close to the mall for this time of year.

Glad to hear Atomic is still around.

Is the bar/restaurant part of Lynaugh's still around? Used to love those burgers.

Also, you left off the Tolly-ho ;)

They recently opened a Raisin' Canes near where I work. It is good stuff.

Will literally be giving tickets away. You will likely pay more for parking.

Would you recommend a female going solo? Seriously thinking about making the drive up but not sure of the atmosphere and how opposing fans are treated, especially a woman by herself.

Lex is very safe. You will be treated well.

Pazzo's is a good spot for pizza with a lot of beer selections. Malones has some of the best steaks you'll eat
