You can purchase passes for parking garages nearby, but I don't think you will have an issue finding any places with it not being a UK game. I have never had issues. Also lots of places within a couple blocks of Rupp have parking usually for under $40 after business hours for events. As others have said, it's actually a nice city/place to go to a game. Tons of great food within walking distance, etc. Have fun.Any idea how parking is around Rupp? I don't have a parking pass, just trying to think ahead.
Alumni actually cuts across a couple of the paths to downtown (Tates Creek, Nicholasville/S. Limestone). It runs directly past the football and baseball stadiums and dead-ends into S. Limestone. Tates Creek Rd. is probably what you're thinking of.Give yourself a cushion for traffic.
Lexington funnels a ton of traffic through a small 4 lane called Alumni Drive and it can cause backed up traffic getting into downtown if you coming from 75
Yeah Lexington is really easy to get around the way it's setup. Me personally I like to go down Newtown Pike from 64/75.Alumni actually cuts across a couple of the paths to downtown (Tates Creek, Nicholasville/S. Limestone). In addition to Tates Creek and S. Limestone, you have Richmond Rd, Harrodsburg Rd, Winchester Rd, Versailles Rd, Leestown Rd, Paris Pike, Newtown Pike, and Georgetown Rd that all convene in downtown Lexington, somewhere. Lots of paths to get into town based on where you're coming from. Lexington is built basically like a giant bicycle wheel with a lot of spokes coming together downtown.
I don't love that they didn't incorporate the two major interstates to run thru town, but in terms of city streets/state highways, it is pretty easy to navigate. Lots of options to get in and out of downtown area.Yeah Lexington is really easy to get around the way it's setup. Me personally I like to go down Newtown Pike from 64/75.
Leestown was always my path, but I haven't lived there in 10 years.Alumni actually cuts across a couple of the paths to downtown (Tates Creek, Nicholasville/S. Limestone). Same here, but it was only $12 when we checked out. 3 blocks from the stadium on High St. First spot, right out and home by midnight. We literally parked 3 or 4 blocks from Rupp tonight for $20. Stepped out of car and Rupp was in view. I live here but honestly never go downtown but downtown is a breeze. Don’t overthink which route takes you into town. I came up Tates Creek and went home on 27/Nicholasville Road.
Google has us going up to 68/ Broadway then southwest into town. Is that the best route? Seems a little out of the way
