LG, I for one like having you around. We certainly agree on more than a few details involving the UT football program.

Please understand that we are talking SEC East Championships this week. While it may end Saturday, this is the way it will be until the ride stops.

We will settle arguments about program discrepancies and coaching inadequacies when we don't have a championship to wrap up. This week, for the first time in a long time, I am not worried about what is going to happen next year when the Vols have to suit up against Florida. We will have plenty of time to discuss that later. This week is all about rolling the Cats on the way to Hotlanta.

Sincerely,
Lexvol

I couldn't agree more. Why people care whether I think you're good or not is beyond me. Let's debate whether the Vols beat the 'cats, not whether I simply must be wrong just because I'm a Gator fan.

I saw another post earlier that someone thought that Kentucky may come out flat because they've been so disappointing whereas UT should come out strong since they have so much to play for. I think that's a valid point.

Your best friend in this game, IMO, would therefore be to go up early by 10 points or so, get Ky in the mood to just get the game over with.

LG, you are correct in your assessment. For UT this is truly an all or nothing game. IMO Kentucky has plenty of motivation.
1. They can end THE streak.
2. They can have an indentical record as UT if they win.
3. They will most definitely get the first bowl selection between the two teams if they win.

If UT loses they are truly back to "insignificantville".

This place is either going to be exploding with joy or utter distress next Saturday evening.

I think Freak needs to upgrade the server based on the fact that if we do lose there will be a meltdown that is unheard of in recent times of UT Football. Hard Drives will crash, CPU's will burn, many other sites will crash because of the chain reaction explosions. It's just not a good scenario any which way you put it.

It is what it is and as it should be. SEC titles don't grow on trees. We have a shot at one. That would make an otherwise meaningless season very meaningful. That is what it is about this week.

It ain't about next saturday evening Gator. It is about next Saturday at 1pm.

Why don't you find an FSU board to go to for this week and let schools who actually have something to play for enjoy this week!

I simply do not understand this mentality. Are only people who think you are going to win allowed to post? Do you think for one second that what I post, or what you post, makes a difference in the outcome of the game?

Enjoy the week, but don't shut out reasonable voices of dissent.

We have plenty who wear Orange to talk about the game from all perspectives. And to answer your question, I don't like the turds or turd fans coming on to our site when they have nothing ot offer but guff. So just disapear for a while.

There is plenty of dissent and debate among OUR fans. You are in a rivalry week, wouldn't you rather talk about YOUR team. It's O.K. to come in here occasionally especially the weeks before and after we play your team, but you post on here 100 times a day. This is a TENNESSEE VOLUNTEER site.:moon2:

LG whats the word around the state of FL these days about B-Bowden? Will Saturday's outcome have anything to do with his tenure as HC?

Nope. FSU fans expect to lose that one.

Its an interesting situation with Bowden. There seems to be an acceptance on the part of FSU fans that he simply isn't going to leave until he wants to, that the man has so much history and clout with the people that matter that they've decided to let him call his own shots in that regard, and that there just isn't a damn thing the fans can do about it.

I know several who've stopped paying attention altogether. They don't even know the team's record or watch the games and they have just sort of given up. Its really a sad situation, IMO. Some diehards say the recruiting is good, etc., but there is just an air of resignation for most of the FSU fans I know.

LG,
I agree and have your back. The Vols should be proud of their team. They have done so far what it takes to get to Atlanta now matter how ugly or not. A "W" is all that matters. I seriously doubt if the tables were turned they would be as gracious. :)

They're being gracious? With a couple of notable exceptions, you could have fooled me.

But as to the first sentiment, I agree wholeheartedly. The Vols have put themselves in a position to make our game with them irrelevant and if I were a Volsfan I'd be a bundle of nervous excitement, too.
