Letter From Phillip Fulmer to the Fans

Opinions vary on whether Fulmer should be our AD, and the jury is still out (though it looks good so far), I can't help but note the last time we had great success in football, the AD was a former coach. And I have a very strong opinion that Dickey had a lot to do with that success. Thus I think having a former NC winning FOOTBALL COACH as our AD was a great idea, and results so far validate it.

Man if we can beat Missouri this week, Vandy will almost certainly follow, and CJP will have accomplished a better record than either of Jone's first two seasons (5-7 and 6-6). Granted CJP inherited more talent, but still have to say cornbread >>> bricks, at least so far.

I love Fulmer, but I hope his loyalty doesn't make him hold on to coaches that aren't getting it done.
as others have said, Coach Fulmer bleeds orange and probably had his grandkids write on the blackboard a thousand times....We'll NEVER let this happen again !

It's better than All State....We're in Great Hands with Coach !

I like Fulmer. I like that he is a Loyal Vol. But it is way to early to know what kind of AD he is or will be.
Really orangefloyd? He loves UT and he has already shown his passion and support for all of UT athletics. He gives the coaches what they need to be successful and supports our student athletes. Most important he holds the students best interest as his number 1 priority. How is that not a great Athletic director? How many other ADs here has written letters of support to our coaches, players, and fans? I only know of one who has done it.

He's the first competent AD we have had in fifteen years. He hired a football head coach that, at a minimum, is the first competent person we have had in that position in ten years, and the first sane person we have had in that position in eleven. Early returns seem to indicate he may, quite possibly, have knocked it out of the park and hired a football head coach who may actually make us a contender again.
