I don't know that the wave should be "illegal," but I'm certain that anyone who participates in the wave while the home team has the football should be removed from the stadium, beaten, and banned from all future sporting events.

I agree....whoever came up with "Fort Neyland" needs to be taken out back and beaten with a stick. That is the most ridiculous suggestion I have ever heard of....besides the one about surrounding the stadium with a channel of water in order for the VOL navy to float right up to the gates and anchor at the jumbotron.

no no. The wave should be completely illegal. While the home team is on defense and trying to prove they can make a stand and 100,000 people are doing the wave is just as bad, if not worse in my book.

Not a Big fan of the wave or the woooooo. The wife likes the woooo and the wave..... the rest of the folks who set around me look real excited everytime we see it coming "of course Iam being sarcastic" but to each their own. I guess it takes all kinds.:dunno:

A limited number of individual game tickets for three University of Tennessee home football games –Louisiana-Lafayette (Nov. 3), Arkansas (Nov. 10) and Vanderbilt (Nov. 17) - and two away games – Mississippi State (Oct. 13) and Kentucky (Nov. 24) - are available for purchase online at UTsports.com, via phone at (800) 332-VOLS and at Thompson-Boling Arena. Tickets are $40 each for Louisiana-Lafayette and Vanderbilt and $50 for Arkansas plus shipping and handling. Tickets for Mississippi State are $40 and Kentucky are $30. If you are looking for tickets for any other home games, please check with the ticket office the Thursday before each home game to see if any tickets were returned from the student allotment. If tickets are returned, they will be available at utsports.com or by phone at 1-800-332-VOLS (8657) beginning Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m.


What Mike failed to mention is there will be an unlimited number of tickets for sale on the Strip for future games at $20 each if the Vols lose to UGA:lolabove::lolabove:

the woo has been there for years, since I can remember. The band did that when I started going to games in the late 70s and 80s. The fans started doing it in the late 90s I believe, but the band has been doing that for a long while.
