Lets think outside the box

Mike Houston @ JMU. Been throwing this out there for weeks. Guy has turned around multiple programs. He actually beat South Carolina while at The Citadel. Has won with multiple offensive schemes, which means he knows how to utilize the talent on his roster. Currently 25-1 at James Madison. Don't think he's relevant enough?... College GameDay was at JMU for a game this year #theyknow.

Scott Satterfield is thinking outside the box.

And as previous poster said, Mike Houston.

And Neal Brown.

See how easy that was. Gibee Currie's job.

Fulmer for a few years to stabilize things. Tee Martin as OC with a HC guarantee after a few years and John Chavis back at DC.

If we're in Defcon 5 mode here, I'd really offer Bryan Harsin. He's kept Boise State afloat in the after-Petersen era, he originally coached in the Southeast, and at this point, what else are we going to do?

Okay, here is outside the box.

UTAD steps up to a podium and makes an announcement.

We are accepting applications from all coaches who want a chance to compete for a national championship and to bring UT back to prominence. We have the history, the brand, the facilities and the money.

We will pay 8 million a year to the winning candidate, and give him 10 million a year for staff. This offer comes with strings and high expectations. First, you have three years to get us into an SEC championship game. Do that, we will give you three more years to get into the playoff. Win the SEC, we will give you a 5 million dollar bonus. Win the national championship 10 million. Fail to meet these goals and you are fired. You will be fired and Iit won’t be because of lack of facilities, financial or fan support if you are fired you will owe us all but 2 million/year of the salary you were paid. If any of you believe you can win, and win big, quit complaining about what you lack in facilities or chances. Step up to the stage and prove it.

Is there any head coaches at a lower level that have been dominant. It worked at Ohio State with Jim Tressel.

I think this a great idea. You give them a decent 3 year contract, put a huge buyout for them and a very low one for Tennessee on it, and see what you get.

I think your chances of the FCS / Division 3 / Junior College coach that can develop talent and X and O is far more likely to have success than a coordinator that can recruit. Lets face it. We aren't getting a good recruiting class no matter who it is this year. Lets maximize what we already have and can go get.

And fire John Currie. Needs to be said in every single coaching discussion.

Just go get Tee, for Khrist’s sake. This is ridiculous. None of these guys are ready.

I disagree Bohl can coach some football. The man upset two top 25 teams in FBS with a FCS school happening in back to back years in which he won the national title both years.
College Game day even went there.
