Looks like race may be an issue with some of yall so let me clear that up too.

I'm Cau-blacks-ican-eese. I get pulled over, but dont even kinda get speeding tickets, and can do long division in my head while cooking migas. Come at me bro.

We all know the most successful coaches are usually short white guys with bad/thinning/no hair. I think its a unique combination that allowed them to ride the bench and study the game as youngsters thus becoming better coaches in the future.

And they teach good fundamentals.

And sarcasm off. Seriously race is not and will not be an issue. That's silly to think of.

I'd be surprised if we didn't spend over $2 mill easy. Hart was willing to give a guy he obviously didn't really want $1.8... He knows you have to spend money to make money and UT needs money right now, and the SEC is ripe for the taking right now...

It comes as no surprise to me that CCM left the program. However I am somewhat excited to see where this coaching search will end up. This being said, I have only a small amount of confidence in Hart's abilities based upon the cluster that was the football coaching search.

Perhaps Hart will get lucky and hire a gem. Frankly, I do not believe that it is that difficult to replace a coach that only made the NCAAT 1 out of 6 years with a .600 career winning percentage. Hopefully, Hart will touch base with Grunfeld regarding potential hires. Oh and please please please leave Cheek at home.

Um, no on the "more money than Wichita St." comment. Do a little research and see who's name is on their basketball arena. Someone you may have heard of...

Charles Koch's gifts have zero to do with the Univerity's revenue or budget.

I think you need to do a little research.

Well, we are about to see if the proverbial grass is indeed greener.... I would like to see them back up the Brinks truck top Marshall or Smart (maybe A. Miller) and show that men's basketball is a priority at UT.

But, I prepare to be underwhelmed yet again.

I will also add tat I think this is a watershed moment for Hart. He cannot affors to let Pearl and Auburn shine, while UT fades into basketball oblivion.

And, for all of those claiming he got it right with Butch, remember that he backed into Butch. Butch was way down his list.

What is the anti-Howland argument? Still learning about him and he looked pretty good on paper, so I am genuinely curious. Thanks

He's old and he looked the other way while one of his players tried to hurt his teammates during practice.

His last 2 years at UCLA were terrible.

Tennessee should talk to Ron Hunter of Georgia State he might be a diamond in the rough. He went 25-9 at GSU last season and his career record is 355-289.

Wow!! That would be cool. hear me out! During Pearl's last season he was recruiting Ware, the kid who broke his leg while playing for Louisville.

Ware just committed to Georgia State. Wouldn't it be cool for us to hire the GSU coach and he bring Ware to U.T.??

Ware would have made a full circle.... U.T. Louisville, GSU, U.T. again.

Thanks, didn't know about that practice incident. Still, at 56 you could get 10-12 more years out of him, and he's had more tournament success than anyone else out there. Even in his last year, he won the PAC-12 regular season, so it couldn't have been that bad. Plus no buyout.

Clearly you didn't listen to the whole press conference. He did say "rising star" but that was after he spent a long spell talking about hiring a coach with a proven track record. He then went on to state a rising star might be considered as well. Dave Hart did just fine with the football coaching hire. Give him a chance before you start to call for his head.
Hart just said "rising star".....

looks like Tennessee will hire on the cheap.
