Let's talk about Blaine Brown

All of the above is true. I like Blaine and think we'll enjoy watching him. Funny story: I was at what turned out to be one of Tony's last practices and Blaine apparently wasn't working as hard as Tony thought he should be. Tony yells, "You tired, BB?" "No, sir." "You look like you're tired." He picked the energy up a bit after that. 😄

I’m gonna miss that guy!

I think he beats out Reece for the RF starting spot. What we would lose defensively would be made up for at the plate. I wonder if he will find his way into the pitching rotation??

He hit a homer at Saturday’s scrimmage.

Also Reece Chapman was playing center some.

One of my frat brothers who happens to be the all-time hits leader at WKU coached Brown for 5 seasons of travel ball in Houston. He said his fastball touches 99 and he is absolutely filthy with work. He had shoulder issues last year. Rice shut down his bullpens when he won the starting spot in the lineup. Cruz being an empty uniform at Rice really worked out for us.
