He's fun to watch and can rebuild quickly, just look at navy and GT.

Most importantly though- discipline. You won't see any armed robberies under him.

Triple Option coach should not be an option. It's gimmicky and if given enough time to prepare, is very easy to stop.

I Love Paul Johnson, he was as great coach at my Alma Mater, he won us two national titles. The TO, however, will not work in the SEC!

Too much speed in the SEC for this offense. It may work for 2-3 years until everyone figures it out then it'll be worthless.

Are you serious? So every team in the ACC knows that when they play GA Tech they are going to run the ball. But somehow, some miracle way they won the ACC, not to mention beat UGA last yr. The triple has been a round a while so there is plenty of film to watch. It comes down to match ups and assignments. Every offense, if given plenty of time to prepare can stop it. Ask Ohio State. they shut down Oregon's spread.

this is way better than some of the candidates though.. i will give them that. cutfliff is a horrible option as well as leach, calhoun, etc...

Georgia Tech is the most boring team to watch.

I was at the Georgia Tech-Va Tech game in 2008 and was bored almost to the point of sleep.

I think there were like 15 total pass plays with both teams combined in that one.

You and I have very different ideas of exciting football then. I love watching GT/Navy play.

The trouble with Paul Johnson and this Calhoun guy is that you won't get top NFL talent with a system like that. Guys want to come in and get the chance to play at the next level. While a talent like Michael Vick could run an option offense, he wants to play in the NFL and will choose a pro-style or spread offense instead every time

You don't want his gimmicky offense in Knoxville. I just watched Iowa blow that thing up in the Orange Bowl.

If we hire Johnson, any coach with more than a week to prepare for it will beat us.

Are you kidding? LSU still has Chavis around...we could see a 70-point win!

It's funny though; everyone laughed at Nebraska for running their outdated option offense for as long as they did. How'd that turn out? And what happened when they brought in Mr. Pro Style himself, Bill Callahan?

For enough money, UT can get almost any coach they want. But, Hamilton will probably go cheap and end up with an average coach who will work for less money. They need to break the bank and offer muschamp $5 mil per year plus benefits, perqs, incentives, bonuses, etc.
