Just stop, Tennessee was a much better football team than OU. Tennessee got out coached and its plain and simple. Now can this staff improve? Yes. Can this team still win the east? Yes. Will they? I dont know because this staff is so damn set in their ways dont believe me then why is Colton Jumper still starting MLB? Interesting stat of the night OUR DAMN MLB ONLY HAD 4 F-ING TACKLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We werent the better team. We played like the better team. They beat us with there back up by 24 last year.

UT was starting Justin Worley at QB last year with a made up OL. Comparing last years to this years team is apple to oranges. And yes Tennessee was much better than OU

I got a question what is our SEC record since Oklahoma was such an important game?

It's against a ranked opponent, blowing out biggest lead in history at home. That doesn't tell me we are playing winning football against top tier teams. Which is what it takes to win the east

That "walk on QB" was a Big 12 freshman all american at Texas Tech. Our Oline wasnt any better. 9 career starts? Dude ran for 473 in a football game!!!! He also had 1700 yards rushing for the whole year. Stoops had the better team and we was whooping them the whole night til the 4th quarter. You wouldnt even be complaining if we had won that game.

Mayfield started half of the season, then was benched. Texas Tech's top two quarterbacks went down before the season even started. Mayfield beat up on some Texas directional schools, then an equally bad Kansas team.

Stat:
This is year 3. This was a game where the players put us in a position to win and the coaching (let off the gas, playing not to lose, etc, no adjustments on offensive playcalling after OK adjusted, etc) let us down. OK may not be in the SEC but they are a good litmus test to see where this year's team is going. The team is getting better, but the game coaching???? Not good my friends.

OU has more talent than UT. We just outplayed and outcoached them for the first 3 quarters. Im telling you. Ou had way more depth and it showed.

Posted this in another thread

Since 2002 the Vols are 4-18 against ranked opponents in Neyland

Not this year, because lucky for us, the East sucks. Go VOLS!!!

If you think the OK game doesn't matter you are way off

Im not saying its not important but Vol fans acting like its the end of the world cause we lost to Oklahoma in double OT. I understand that was a horrible lost but GET OVER IT. We have the rest of the season to beat good teams.

I think people are saying they don't see this team/coaching staff having the ability to win these games based on a history of losing big games

The telling stats for me were those that showed how pathetic our passing game was--completion percentage, total passing yards, etc., and, more specifically, the fact that our best receiver caught one ball, and that Kamara had only four touches in the game.

We got a pretty nice first-quarter lead, it is true--and then got absolutely stoned for the rest of the game. Did absolutely nothing with the ball. We started strong but then had a three-quarter long fade/choke while OU came on. OU's defense dominated us for the last three quarters of the game.

What happened to all the Butch Jones and Staff apologists? It really seems like everyone has given up on our coaching staff. Well, I am negavol extreme (so I've been told) and I have never loved the CBJ or any of his staff hirings...however...I think we have to let Butch make the changes he needs to before giving up on him. If he fails to adapt or make these changes, then giving up on him is justified.

So will you be here when we curbstomp these next three opponents. Nobody thought we had a chance against OU. Your making a big deal outta nothing im telling you. They will learn from their mistakes.

He walked on at Tech. He was so good that they didn't want him back for the following season.

what the he!! you're talking about. Do some research before posting. He lost his job after injury and VOLUNTARILY left Texas Tech. If they didn't want him, why did Kliff Klingsbury put up such a barrier when Oklahoma tried to get him eligible last year? Why did he start in the first place?

I dig Tennessee man, but some of you are just damned cry babies.

All SEC fans should stop idolizing Paul Finebaum as if he actually IS Football Jesus. Dude was too scrawny and wimpy to play, I'm guessing.

Good luck the rest of your season. You have a helluva team, but your coach may become an issue after all this. Just sayin.
