Anyone have an Austrailian Shepherd or Goldendoodle??? Looking at these breeds

Have you looked at border collies? I have a Doberman now but prior to that I had border collies for 15 years. No breed is really close to them in regards to training and intelligence. Shedding is a problem and they are rowdy puppies. The retrievers are intelligent breeds and great with kids.

No I have not.. I'll look into them. Do you know of any sites with info??

I did some research and from what I read herding dogs would not be the best fit. I love the breed and think they are the best but a border collie may not fit what you are looking for in a dog.
