Not a golden doodle, but mine in the back of the picture is a golden retriever. She's the sweetest thing ever.

Oh okay cool. I've been told those are great for children with ASD.. I'm looking at various breeds and was told those are great as well as Labrador retrievers...

Have you looked at border collies? I have a Doberman now but prior to that I had border collies for 15 years. No breed is really close to them in regards to training and intelligence. Shedding is a problem and they are rowdy puppies. The retrievers are intelligent breeds and great with kids.
