Lets Say That........

I, like OC was a Dooley supporter till this year. The team looks utterly confused and some of the decisions the coaching staff has made just don't make sense. Everyone has the right to their opinion but I really don't see how anyone is still defending CDD.

Is it ironic that the only part of the team that is performing well is the offense that is run by a oc that was hired by it pains me to say Kiffin. Just kinda funny.

IMHO, "performing well" is a bit of a misnomer. They have the ability to put up points and "quick-strike". But this season has shown an equal tendency to shut down and fold up like a cheep tent. Many of the talent positions seem to lose focus, lose drive, lose desire and just mail it in from series to series.

Florida showed the world how to beat UT's offense. Pressure Ainge, play the receivers physical, and expect the offense to sputter.

IMHO, this is on the coaches. It shows a team that is not coached up to its talent potential, nor being given a drive to win.

I wasn't a huge fan at all of the CDD hire, but I got behind him and said, "Let's give him a shot." 3 years is enough time to beat SOMEBODY! Heck...if CDD beat 2 of the 5 murderer's row this year...that would be progress. The fact that the games were close would matter in the first and maybe 2nd year, but 3rd year you should close a couple of those games out. JMO

Looking at some footage from past games, our defense just seems to run around like a chicken with its head cut off

lets see if you will agree to this...if defense would have allowed say 300 yards a game and 21 less points a game, this team could be 7-1...in all honesty would most of you be happy or is it you never liked the dooley hire and he goes at all cost...

Well if we were 7-1 I would obviously have nothing to be mad about. Are people around here that dumb? You say anti-Dooleys wouldnt be happy with a 7-1 record? Are you out of your mind? This just in though we are 4-5 and 0-5 in the SEC. That's why I want that incapable fool gone.

Dooley's 3 years at UT have been filled with nothing but IFS......IF grandma had balls she'd be grandpa. As a Tennessee fan you should be fed up with the direction in which Dooley has taken this team. I'm baffled at the people that are STILL defending him as a coach.

Tenn. hires (enter coach here) and next year after he inherits the talent that has been brought in, we beat western ky, Austin peay.....go to Oregon and get beat....go to fl and get beat....beat s. Alabama....and say lose to ga......after this university has listened to the fans and brought in this new coach.....how many of you will be calling for the new coaches head or suggest everybody stay away from the games......with the talent we have there should be zero tolerance.....win or be gone....right?

So you are saying we should have fired Dooley in year one after he lost to Oregon, Bama and Florida.....I think you are on to something. Very cryptic. I like it.

Not even close for me. I agree that it's possible that the scene sets up next year just like you've stated regardless of who our coach is. That's not the point. The point is whether we would be better (and how much better) three years from now if we: a) keep Dooley, or b) fire him now and go with another coach. So far I've seen three years at La. Tech and almost three years at UT and in my opinion a better coach would have us further along as a team and program. I also, based on the evidence at hand have no reason to believe that three years from now CDD will have us competing for the SEC Championship. That is why I'm ready for an upgrade. It has absolutely nothing to do with games 1-5 next year. That's far too shortsighted, IMO.
