Let's play two more. . .

I'm not sure if Cal's that good, or UT's defense is that bad. I'm leaning to the latter.

I'm going to go with both. A very good O-line, a stable full of fast and elusive-if-small receivers, a good back, and a competent quarterback should make the Pac-10 scoreboards go on tilt. And our D seems to be...well...not so good. The Bears reminded me a little of Spurrier's old UF offenses, capable of breaking off 20+ on any play.

I hope their defense is better than it looked, as that would mean our O is very good as well.

Congrats to Cal, you guys have lots of dangerous playmakers, good luck with the rst of your season. One thing though, I don't see Longshore as one of the best QBs in the nation, I just wasn't that impressed, he kept us in the game just as much as anything we did. But anywho, congrats again.

I thought nate played well. :dunno:

I agree - he didn't throw into coverage and was generally accurate.

The only time he was off was during the lull in the 3rd quarter when he had a few bad throws (short, behind, too far out in front) but he corrected that.

Overall, he looked solid.

With the offense you guys have, you certainly can run with any SEC team this year (any team in the nation, really). You guys have earned respect from me. Now please, knock USC off their high horse. Good luck the rest of the season. I'm sure this win has been quite sweet for you. Enjoy it.

Any QB will look good if you give them all the time in the world to throw the ball. Our D-line got owned all game long.

does anybody here know the status of the UT player that got injured towards the end of the 4th. Haven't seen anything about it in any of the news articles. A scary incident. Hope he is okay and back on the field soon.

From what I understand it was a concussion and he should be alright.

A couple of things

1. For those who went to the game. I hope you were treated well and enjoyed the atmosphere (anyone want to comment on the noise level? I wasn't there unfortunetly). Most vol fans I have met have been all class, so I hope we returned the favor. I apologize for our guys doing cheers when your player was down. I'm told you couldn't see he was seriously injured in the student section.

2. Ainge is a stud. Those predicting a bad season for the Vols have to remember that with a QB that good you will be in every game.

3. I hope we proved to you guys that Cal's talent and speed can match up to the vols and the SEC.

4. I'm officially giddy over Cal's freshman RB Best.

:good!:

1. Noise wasn't a factor unless you included the speakers Cal was using to amplify everything. We sat near the young donors and while they were not bad to us, thye ey weren't real nice either...jumping up in my face and screaming....other than that it was good.

2. I hope you are right

3. you have speed at the skill spots, you should have a good year. We on the other hand do not have the necessary speed...right now.

4. I was far more impressed with Best than Forsett. He is a gonna be a burner.
