3 very important young men signed with the Vols today.

Dontavious Blair
LaVon Pearson
Owen Williams

THEY are the BIG story today. Thrilled these young men will be Vols. They will be very instrumental to the rebuilding of this program...thanks to each of you from Vol Nation.

No doubt all of these guys are huge gets for this class, and will be major contributors this upcoming season. Losing Lambert is still a major blow.

Good point OP. I'm just worried about the DL position. Hard to win against any SEC team without a decent DL.

That is a lot of DL help coming in 1 class. Losing 1 stings, but I would rather not see his thread sitting at the top and would rather see our fans focus on who we can get rather than who signed elsewhere. JMO

I hear ya...I competely understand the disappointment over Lambert. I just think it sucks for the kids that did sign today...they deserve to be appreciated. Instead their day has been tarnished to some degree because of the negative news and the focus by the fanbase on losing a guy. At times as fans we are our own worst enemy...we too often focus on the negative...this is a good day regardless.

I agree with you. Today should be about the kids who wanted to be VFL, not the one who bailed.

Hahahaha...nope. Started one of those yesterday (that was about all of the JUCO guys)...but your point is well taken.

I have had a moment of clarity...just trying to put myself in the shoes of the young men who did sign and their families.

Like most who post on VN...I can be a little double minded.

I am excited about the the 3 new guys and will admit that Lambert would have been a huge get but he choose AU so no need to sit and question the young man now. We move on and recruit or develop the guys on the roster or that are coming in!

I just heard and it does dampen today for me....excited about Pearson but losing another dt ....six needed him

Further I can't wait to watch cuonzo sit on his hands tonite showing no emotion whatsoever and likely get completely out coached...again. Hopefully jordy and the most talented ut team over the last 4 years can win in spite of him.

They are all big gets. Blair super important. Williams fills DT void, Pearson can be awesome on KR and others serious competition for slot and PR and KR.

As far as I am concerned Lambert isn't a vol, so don't really care what he does.

And many more players that people on here said we must get to be successful this recruiting season. So far the only big no was Lambert. I like them odds. GBO!!!!

We signed 3 players today all in position of need and all are GREAT players. Man I am excited about this class. Great job and welcome to the space ship guys.
