So far the team has been like a roller coaster ride with up's (W. KY, moral victory over FLA, GA) and downs (UCLA loss, Auburn loss, so so performance vs. Ohio).

One week everyone thinks we will have a losing season to the next thinking that we go to bowl games. What we are actually seeing is a talented team that is young and will play inconsistently.

The message here - we can beat anyone on our schedule if we play well and can lose to anyone also. One game at a time.

Why not get excited? Everything we have been waiting to see came to a head Saturday. The players should be excited as well. Most of the ones on offense, have been getting hammered over the last few weeks. Live it up boys, build on it. Don't sit around waiting for something bad to happen.

I think everyone in the UT nation already has an idea about what to think about getting to excited and this thread. I do however see a young team that played great together following senior leadership. Great to carry that into a bye week. GO Vols!

I think the Bama game will be much closer than the "experts" think. We have a huge wave of the big "MO" going into this bye week and you give The Kiffin's two weeks to get the game plan together, I like our chances.

Moral victories are for the Gamecocks.

We are going from playing the 11 ranked D in the SEC to playing the 2nd ranked D in the conference and the NCAA. The level of competition has jumped tremendously and as good as we looked against GA, we will have to play alot better to beat Bama.

Boy, I'm not excited that we pounded Georgia, Kifffin and Company are flying across the country to ensure this program's future and Neyland was absolutely rockin' Saturday. You're right I need to start running around with "the keep it in perspective" and "let's not get too excited crowd", drink my geritol and have a bang up time.

I agree with this post, people on here get all worked up and then if Crompton craps the bed against Bama everyone will want his scholarship pulled and him burned at the stake. Lets not get too high when we win and too low when we lose. We look like bipolar when one week we are questioning if Kiffin is the right hire, his playcalling, etc and now he is the best coach in the universe.

Well said...UT has a meat grinder of a team coming up next with probably the best defense of any team I have seen this year....Gonna be super tough to beat this Alabama team but it is possible...Keep the faith but if things go wrong don't go jumping off a cliff and swearing you'll never watch another game again. :eek:lol:
