I can’t drink brown liquor during the games anyway. I’ll get too angry and there will be a remote stuck in the screen.

Please Let Us Not Forget. last year was the worst season in Tennessee Football.

Yes, there is a lot of positive things going on this off season, but please let us not throw our hearts (money) at Tennessee without any results.

I know I know. that is easier said then done, how can you not fully support something you love (money and all), but I beg you fellow fans hold off until results are made. Tennessee, as unfortunate as it is, is just like any other business (money rules all). I am seeing this new slogan with Tennessee "We want a team you can be proud of" a team you can be proud to say this is "Your Team". Well guess what!!! Tennessee had the worst damn season of its entire history last year and I am not buying into this load a crap anymore. I am not proud to call Tennessee my team (yes I will give my all for Tennessee and yes I will always be a Tennessee fan, and yes I will say "Go Vols whenever I see someone wearing Tennessee clothes, but damn it I don't say it with pride.....how can I after getting stomped by Georgia in our own freaking house when we honored Peyton Manning who gave his all for Tennessee, who stayed an extra year to play at Tennessee when millions were waiting for him in the NFL, how can I say it Proudly when the people who run this school don't give a damn about how we do as long as money fill there pockets)

So please I beg you fellow fans, don't jump on the hype train, don't buy into the crap they are selling us until we get results. I am as encouraged as anyone that Tennessee may finally be back on the right track but, as the saying goes "fool me once.... fool me twice..... well I am not letting Tennessee fool me three times

It is time to Nut Up or Shut Up.....I am done leaving Neyland Stadium with my head hung low.

Let Us Not forget the crap we had to endure.

Please tell me specifically who is selling the crap and what exactly is the crap they are selling? If YOU don’t like the way being a fan of a struggling program makes YOU feel then stop being a fan, leave me out of it. Then you can come back when they are good again...wait...there’s a name for people like you...FAIR WEATHER FAN.

So, we don't support our team until they win ___ games? Yep, that's sure to inspire the best talent to come here! Your nickname is New-Vols-Fan, but I believe you may be a troll from another fan base trying to get real fans from coming to the games and supporting our team, come hell or high water. Fulmer is not a Haslam man, since Haslam was instrumental in ousting him. However, the power structure on the hill changed when other big money boosters joined forces and didn't allow Haslam to control the coaching hire. Evidence of that is Currie being terminated, Haslam's pick to replace him didn't happen, and Fulmer was hired as the AD. I think the ship has been righted, and clearer skies and calmer seas are ahead for Tennessee football. You are most likely, as I said, either a troll or someone fresh out of college and wants everything right now, so,go back to your own fan site, or grow up, whichever the case may be. We don't want or need you here.

Please forget last year; it has nothing to do with this year. Negatively remembering last year is a waste of time and effort. All effort and focus should be on this year! I wonder if Pruitt, staff, and players are worrying about last year. I think not, so enough of last year!!!

That’s the spirit.

I’ve gotta pass on your line of thinking.

Freak this is why a dislike button needs to be added.

Begging Tn fans to not be fanatics about Tn. That makes zero sense.

By the way, you do need to explain yourself after begging for such ridiculousness.

So many wonder about where negavol and notavol accusations come from.

Wait and see. I’ll wait and see it anybody on our schedule can beat us.

Go cry to some other fan base.
I think your first line is the important one. I think the o p had been indulging in copious quantities of spirits.

I wonder how much belly-aching will go on if Pruitt is a success and he starts having to cull four stars and the fanbase explodes with the fairweathers coming back and ticket prices go up!!!

Ok New Fan,you changed my mind. After being a die-hard fan since the late 70's and going to games cheering the Big Orange on no matter how the previous seasons went,I'm now gonna sit on my hands and no say anything positive or yell Go Big Orange!(blue font just in case)
Are you happy now? Maybe how about I cheer and support them how I want to and you do it how you want to.

So we shouldn't get excited for this season, and we shouldn't buy into the "crap" that Pruitt and Company are selling, or give our hearts, which, to you, is synonymous with money. We should only remember last year? I don't get it. How does that help us move on?

Last year is gone and thankfully the coaching staff is too...
No real fan could ever be happy about last year or the last 10 years...but change is happening and the Fulmer curse is being lifted...
There is reason for hope and excitement for the upcoming season...
If you need to sit in the corner with your crayons and coloring books..go ahead....
As for me..I am pulling all the way for my beloved VOLS......

While I don’t believe we’ll run the tables go undefeated destroy whoever from the West in the SEC Championship Game, then look like the most dominant team to ever play college football... I refuse to have a pessimistic view going into the season. I believe in hope... I believe that we will see a better football team than last year... I believe this team will fight for 4 quarters & even in a loss the opposition will know they just had to fight for a win. I turn 40 this fall, I’ve cheered for the Vols as long as I can remember... there’ve been some really good years, some really bad years & some mediocre years... but I’ve always cheered my team on. Also, just as an FYI, the players do feed off the fans’ energy... so I go to Neyland & do my part. If you choose not to, believe me, there’s someone else who would love to have your ticket that would more than happily go in & support their team.

Does it make any difference how anyone other than yourself handles the new season, coaches, and expectations? If you wanna be a Debbie Downer enjoy yourself, if you want to see it all through Orange tinted glasses, enjoy yourself. Not sure you really need to plead with other fans on how they respond, and in all honestly I have not seen the "Hype" you speak of. Coaches have given off very clear messages that they expect the best effort at all times, not they expect to dominate....I ain't mad at, ya just tired of folks trying to justify the way they feel about FB season by recruiting others to feel as they do...OK off my soap box now. GBO!

One good thing about flat panels, when you send a projectile through the front screen, it doesn't shoot back at you

I know right. What’s the point of being a fanatic if you are going to pump the brakes.

Fandom should be like the rip cord Evil Kenevil toy from way back in the day. Once it got going it wasn’t gonna stop till it ran out of punch.

I am seriously confused as to the point of this rant. I was also disappointed with the debacle that was last year’s season but put it into perspective for this year. Essentially no one involved with that disastrous season in a non-player role is involved with the university any longer. None of the coaches, support staff, AD or even president of the University is still there. At least wait until there is evidence of a continuing trend of poor decisions before blowing up at the team. Be upset, but there is absolutely nothing that you can do to change last year’s results, and any action taken this year only hurts the current team, not one of the malcontents responsible.

Well, last year has nothing to do with this year so I've moved on from that. Last years team struggles didn't have a thing to do with talent, we've got talent and now we have coaches. Now we don't know how good of a HEAD coach CJP will be for sure, but he's not going to suddenly forget how to coach football. Anyways I will never be ashamed or embarrassed to be a Vols fan regardless of the outcome. If the doors at Neyland are open and I'm allowed to be there I'm there.
