Because it's something to watch.

The O & W game is without a doubt the most overanalyzed event in Tennessee sports. According to past games, Eric Locke and Roy Olasimbo were Heisman candidates and Jon Crompton was a good QB.

This thread proves why the average tennessee fan is delusional. This opens the door to a qb controversy? You do realize simms didn't play that good yesterday right? He was average. You do realize that simms three I believe 3 interceptions last week 2 being returned for tds while Bray had 4 tds. That was actually a scrimmage where the units were intact and the oc calling all the plays. I'm beginning to think Phil and Matt are starting to use their usernames to spread their garbage. But them I realize this is your typical ut fan. Its not even enjoyable to go to a game like it used to be because of fans. They think they can talk about recruiting without even knowing anything about it. Hell I was at spring game 2 yea ago and they said that the baseball player fulmer recruited at qb was going to come and give kiffin a great qb. If any of you have ever watched a snap of football, you would know that Bray is better than simms on every aspect other than taking a hit.

no the white team did heck the players , bray just had his center(stone)the rest were terrible at blocking and since when did bray have to throw to milton, poole showed why he hesitates while neal and williams looked fantastic. when bray has HIS o line and His recievers and the running backs all together this fall, we'll look back and see that this game was a fluke and we shouldn't take nothing out of it.

Tyler Bray had the backup o line. Simms had the starting line. That's also why Neal did better than Poole. Don't worry Vol faithful, it's just a spring game. They were just experimenting on a few things. I will give props to Neal, he had some very strong runs and I look toward the future with him. I also saw that they always put Tyler Bray's team so that the wing will push his throws back, therefore causing incompletions. The only way Simms has a chance to regain the spot is if Tyler Bray turns into a crackhead (like Chris Simms, Matts Brother)

I think the team will play in a game the way they practice. I used to check their scrimmage stats and would notice how similar the QB numbers were to the actual game stats when the season starts. The RB's seem to run better in scrimmages then they do in games.

How is it? Probably more stupid than all your other baseless and premature conclusions concerning what Dooley and his staff will or won't do.

First, I hope they drop the draft format. That contributed significantly to the issues. Pair the 1st team O with 2nd team D and vice versa.

Second, it IS a scrimmage. Bray was obviously off. The protection wasn't great. The WR's on both sides struggled to get separation. Scrimmages are for development and to expose weaknesses... not to draw conclusions about the team much less the quality and future success of a staff.

The RB's btw all played very well. The run blocking was improved. The secondary played very well.

Neal was not better than Poole. They don't give bonus yards because a guy has less experience. The standard for "better" is the same.

All 3 of the top RB's looked good. Nothing changed. Poole is still 1A and Neal is still 1B.
