Offensively, we DID do better than last week. It was the play calling that kept us in the hole too.

It was so bad, I was hurt when their quarterback couldn't keep his passing streak alive. Was there a defense trying to stop him anywhere? I must've missed it. He was doing everything he wanted to against us. We were more like observers when they had the ball than partakers. We were starstruck and mesmerized. I was surprised I didn't see some of our guys ask for autographs. All afternoon, the middle of the field was wide open. Was there a sinkhole we were afraid to fall in or something? For us, it was like a no man's land. "Fraid of getting hurt if we stepped in and tried to stop someone.

You just can't spot Bama 2 touchdowns and expect anything good to come from it.

We did not do better offensively than last week! For God's sake, people open your eyes! That is most likely the worst defense we will face all season and only scored 17 points! I hate this fanbase sometimes!

IMO the play that basically sums up our defense was that missed interception by Bryce Thompson when John Metchie III caught the deep ball sandwiched between Thompson and Taylor. He makes a great break on the ball coming across the field but tries to run underneath the ball and basket catch it instead of attacking it and using his hands. A lot of our guys are able to get themselves in the right position to make plays but they can’t finish or execute. Kenneth George had a great chance at an interception too if he didn’t have cement hands. I also recall seeing a defensive lineman trying to arm tackle on a 3rd and goal situation whenever he was in perfect position to drive through and wrap up and salvage a field goal attempt. Henry T got juked out of his shoes by Mac Jones on a scramble up the middle. Idk what’s happened but the tackling on this team has become atrocious. It seems we have guys that know what to do on defense but lack the confidence in themselves that they are going to execute. Those are the types of plays that separate average teams and great teams.

But CJP said we did. Which is really revealing that he is a clueless as this fan base!
You see: JG really took good care of the ball=offense did really good , in his mind.
First downs, 3rd down efficiency, yards , points scored doesn’t register with him!

I would love to see the yards after contact stat. We dropped quick while they bounced off and kept going.

Remember every play and had the same thoughts. Agree with everything you said except the bolded.
I don’t think it’s a lack of confidence ,!rather a lack of being coached up by the staff and being prepared to make them plays.
If it was freshman making them then I’d say they will be making them plays next year,
But we’ve been seeing it from most of them for 2-3 years

And remember Kenneth George’s over the top attempt at a pick in the UGA game first half.. 15 yard penalty cost us 7 points there too.

Look It is another football "fan" that does not watch other football games. Going into today Alabam had the #62 defense out of 77 teams this season. This is another example of why I hate this fanbase sometimes. Some of you are clueless!

Wonder how much the Alabama defense dropped in the rankings because of the Ole Miss shootout?

We didn’t give the other team 2 pick sixes. We did do better than last week.

I don't care.
I have watched about 15 non UT SEC football games so far this season. Surtain is better than a couple of SEC defenses. Factor in the offenses they have faced. That group of future NFL players is no pushover, no matter how you want to propagandize it.
Get real!
Show some football IQ and less rhetoric.

Good points, there is a lot of talent on the defense.

The play that summed it up was kicking a FG on 4th and 3 down by 14... reminded me of Butch vs Oklahoma...play to win the damn game

Guarantano‘s ceiling as a starting QB is 21 points

JG can win against (some) weak teams be he’s not gonna lead an upset against our annual opponents who year end year out field far more talented teams...Tn is like a little 2A school playing 6A schools when we face Alabama and Georgia.

That Secondary just got embarrassed by a freshman and allowed 17 points to the worst offense in the country led by the worst QB of all time

What explosive offense have they faced? Ole Miss? The same Ole Miss with a new head coach that got shut down by another first-year head coach last week? You all are special! The most uneducated fanbase in college sports!
