Dream coach is Gruden.

Reality;
1) Frost
2) Patterson
3) Mullen
4) Fuente

If we strike out on those and have to gamble;

1) Neal Brown - he's gonna be a rock star in a few years

2) Jeff Brohm

3) Norvell.

Gruden is not going to happen in my opinion. I hope I am wrong, but I think we have to be willing to accept the fact that there are several other really great football coaches that Tennessee can hire other than Gruden. I was shocked this past week when it was reported that Patterson said that when he interviewed for the Tennessee job he could tell that they were going to hire Kiffin. Can you imagine where we might be today with our football program under Patterson, if we had hired him instead of Kiffin. We probably don't have to suffer through all of these seasons that have lead us up to where we are now. Wow, that just proves how important that this hire is.

...that we are the Nebraska of the SEC. We had a really good run in the 80's and 90's but now, Tennessee is not a top tier program. We're not even the best team in our state.

TBH, I don't know how good of a job Tennessee is anymore. Fortunately, there is a deep enough coaching pool for John Currie to really have to screw up in order to make a bad hire. However, if we have to compete against Florida for a particular candidate, we will lose that battle. Every. Time.

I'm not saying we can't ever be good again, but I feel too many TN fans have a false sense of just how good of a job TN actually is.

I'm not facing jack ****! I would face it, but now that Butch is gone, my hope and excitement are back SON!
