This is a poorly coached team, and a bad coach and staff. We don't adjust to other teams ever. We don't run plays worth a damn. We don't dictate tempo, we don't push transition hardly at all. We do nothing to make other teams adjust to us or even be uncomfortable against us. We just HOPE we make threes, and HOPE they miss shots. I am sorry, blast all you want, but nothing shows me it's going to be any better next year, and especially beyond that. Use Maymon as an excuse sure, but guess what... we didn't make the NCAA last year WITH him. We aren't firing him right now i know that. He's going to get next year, but if he doesn't win and win at a high level, the new coach noise is going to get REAL loud. Zo's seat is hot, real hot right now.

Cuonzo is going nowhere unless it shows at the ticket booth. We still rank very high in attendance. There will not be a change unless we can't afford not to.

Our linebackers look bad and the guys they were missing looked worse. Basketball ended 10 min ago which is fine by me.

Efforts like tonight, alabama in nashville, UGA, ETC..and underachieving half the year will start to grow on Vol fans, especially in year 2 and 3. Attendance will show it. See what happened to Dooley as a prime example.

Zo's seat can get as hot as lava but with the financial mess in the athletic department he isn't getting bought out after next year.

:peace2: what u talkin , we got the best coach and the smartest player politically correct can drag onto the court...they don't have to win we will pay them well so stop complaining

His seat isn't hot. Some people may wish it was, but it isn't. He most definitely has to win next year though.

It just really bothers me now after 2 years the lack of adjusting, scheming, and still making the same mistakes over and over after 2 years under this staff... its maddening really. We do nothing to counter what others do. THAT IS A COACHES JOB! Is anyone on this staff a good x and o type coach? We continue lay eggs and lose for the SAME reasons as we did last year. Fundamental basketball! Things players learn in 6th grade! Free throws, turnovers, lack of x and o play calling... I won't claim we are the toughest team, even tho ZO preaches toughness, and even alot of times we get out-toughed. Whats the old saying, if youre gonna be dumb you better be tough? Hell idk if this even makes sense, lol the coors light and fireball whiskey starting to kick in.

This Mercer game is to Cuonzo, as the 2011 Kentucky football game was to Dooley. Essentially, it is the proverbial "writing on the wall" that he cannot get the job done. If there is no chance of rehiring Pearl after next year, then we should just part ways with Cuonzo now. There is no reason to wallow in the mire of poor to mediocre any further.

He brought in Hubbs and deserves to coach the team he assembled.

If we do fire CCM next year, the part that scares me the most is depending on Dave Hart to hire someone. This isn't our flagship sport historically. I doubt it will be like football, where a coach jumped into Hart's lap after he struck out.

I disagree. When you consider the hands he's been dealt so far and what he's done with them, there's just no way. People here are far too unrealistic as far as expectations, it's just how this fanbase is. Guarantee after we get fisted game after game this upcoming football season in which we struggle to 6 wins(which is realistic), people will be calling for Jones' head.

We're in no position to be firing coaches and Martin's doing everything right as far as Cheek is concerned.

I agree if he can't win/get us to the tournament next year then he's not our guy. Regardless, I don't see him gone after next season either.

The fans and donors who pay the bills and make the program possible are the deserving ones, not Cuonzo. It is the fans and donors who DESERVE a program that's not settling for mediocrity. Cuonzo is merely an employee who is underperforming.

It's the inconsistency that kills me. Is this the same team that beat Florida and Mizzou and won 9/10 last games? It's been said a million times, but we play down to our competition.
