1) Bray: He has to get some snaps behind NS. After watching the film, he is accurate enough now, just needs time in the weight room.

2) Rogers: Too much talent to ride the bench

3) Askew: RS freshman at a position of little depth

4) J. James: Physically ready and will need to get experience asap.

5) Palardy: Because we have nothing at this position. May punt as well as kick.

I know that Rivera, Clark, and Brown will get big minutes, but didnt want to count JC guys.

I am surprised that a lot of people are saying that Matt Milton is going to get more playing time next year than DaRick Rogers. Then again, even though he wasn't as highly recruited or as highly rated ad DaRick, he does have all the physical tools to me a play-maker. I just hope CDD keeps him at WR and doesn't move him to TE or DE.

Da'Rick - Physically, He's ready
Loften - Punishing tackler, could be a Force
Stone - weakness at Guard, I believe he steps in and gets major Burn
Palardy - 4 yr starter, 2 time All American.
Dixon - Return Specialist alongside Oku
*edit Had to Revise and remove Rivera, he's not Frosh, just a new comer...

Rex or anyone that would no, is there any chance Askew could be groomed to start at MLB in 2011??

Totally forgot about Loften. I am excited to see him crush some people in that beautiful Orange jersey!

By the way...

James (Dominates the competition during spring practice and earns a spot)
Palardy (Only and best choice)
Stone (won't start but will see playing time for sure on the interior line)
Milton (Red-zone package)
Miller (too good not to at least be a regular sub)

I am a little indecisive when it comes to Tyler Bray... If I were CDD and I saw the talent level that this kid has and the potential that his body-frame has, I would want to keep this kid around as long as possible. I say RS Tyler Bray, and start Nick Stephens or Matt Simms... whichever one performs the best. Don't count out Ted Meline either, I think he will make the transition to defense and play in the secondary next year. I think we have a lot of special teamers that came in this recruiting class as well.

1) Palardy starts right off. Should be an upgrade over this year

2) Rogers: Too much raw talent to not play

3) J. James: Could fill a big role

4) J. Brown: Technically, not a freshman, but a first year player for us

5) Loften: Big hitter from what everyone says

I will go with all freshman from this year's class:

Guaranteed to play:

J. James - EE
J. Stone - too big of a need at O line - depth is an issue right away.
C. Miller - EE
J. Smith - EE
M. Palardy - too big of a need even with Lincoln being a senior - he will def. kickoff

Will probably also play a significant role:

D. Rogers - too talented to sit
M. Milton - EE and lack of depth
Z. Fulton - lack of depth and he is going to be a good one
J. Brown - JUCO and fills a need
D. Clark - JUCO and fills a need

Might play and fill in:
E. Loften
J. Hunter
T. Meline
M. Pair
R. Crump
M. Jackson

I think all 4 OL are going to have to get snaps throughout the year to gain the experience that will be needed for 2011. not saying any start, certainly not game 1, but will definitely have to play if physically able.

Bray will have to take some snaps.

guess I'll sit on those 5.

We need to see if Rogers can make it school or not before guessing at him...

Scratch Eddrick Loften off the list.

Per Hubbs:
Loften has apparently double signed. He is listed as a signee on the Narravo Junior College list which means that there is legitimate concerns that he will not qualify academically.

You may or may not be forced to play freshmen next year and it certainly depends on the position played as to whether or not a true freshman sees PT. My advice would be to temper your expectations with 1st yr players. Positions like WR require more skills than just catching a ball. Most won't see the field if they can't learn the art of blocking. For the most part high school WRs do very little of it so it must be learned at the college level.....and that skill pales in comparison to actually learning the offense. Marlon Brown obviously wasn't prepared mentally to make an impact for UGA last season despite this physical attributes.....Even with AJ Green in his ear he struggled to grasp the offense and his downfield blocking left little to be desired. I'm hopeful we'll see a more polished WR in MB in 2010.
