Let's hear some comments from people who still want Fulmer to stay.

As disgusted as I am, I do not believe the blame for this game rests squarely on Fulmer. Clawson has been disappointing to say the least but as I recall this was a much respected and well received hire. Clawson's previous accomplishments certainly led us to expect much more. The turnovers and punt return made this a different game. Otherwise we were playing well enough to compete.

The turnovers and punt returns should not be so easily discounted. That has been a common theme with this team for the last 3 years at least.

I want him to stay. He's the greatest coach in the history of football.

Clawson called a run. Crompton called the wrong play in the huddle.

At that time I was on the field ground level right behind the Florida bench, so I couldn't quite see how it played out to the fullest. But that being the case, do you blame Fulmer for that, too?

So because he hired someone who is apparently not good enough, he should be fired?

I'm sorry, but mixed signals are being sent from everyone. People say that he should be fired for contradicting reasons.

Foster does

"I can't speak for everybody on the team, but the general consensus is that we don't like our coach being talked about the way some people are talking about him," junior tailback Arian Foster said. "We support our coach 100 percent, just like he's supported us 100 percent. He's a good guy, and he's doing his job. We still have a chance to meet our goals.

"People can just be very fickle sometimes."

Maybe volfanbill will give us his thoughts. He seems to cluck his tongue whenever anyone mentions reality.

That's just because there are so many different reasons he needs to go.

Anyone who is a fan of UT that wants Fulmer to stay is an idiot. I guess those guys want us to get throttled week in and week out! Just watch the Auburn game next week they are going to pin their ears back just like UF did! Fulmer doesnt discipline his players and it shows, we basically commit 100 yards of penalties a game, thats pretty much 7 points.

Its bad when everyone elses fans can see what we have as a head coach and our own management is oblivious to it.

As the part owner of three Krispy Kremes in the greater Knoxville area, I'm praying that Phil is around for many years to come.

Yep, Fulmer has become a cancer to our program and is tearing us down. If he loved UT he would resign but the selfish person he is wont let him quit. This guy is a joke of a coach and Im gonna be happy if we even make a bowl game. Thanks Phil!

Oh really. As I recall we took the East last year because Coach Fulmer could close the deal when the rest of the East could not. And yes, I want him to stay.

10 years. No SEC Championships. A non-factor in the National Championship race, other than serving as a "designated opponent" for the team that won it.

What's our record against Top 10 teams?

The only thing Fulmer has "closed" is the book titled "Great Wins By UT Football".

And "Owning Neyland Stadium".

If you're gonna defend him, go find numbers to back up your argument.

I'll be waiting. Hint: You'll have to go back to 1998, and 2001, to find any data that will help you. You can skip over 2005, and 2008.

go vols.
