I admit, i've done a little Crompton bashing this week because of the outcome of last weekends game. He is our qb though and i refuse to not pull for him. He chose to wear the orange and i will support whoever is taking the snaps for the Vols. Crompton, if you were to ever have a performance of a lifetime, please let this be the week, GO VOLS!!!!!!!

I really still think Crompton is our best shot. People need to understand as bad as he appears to be at times(which is pretty bad) he can't be that bad by myself. It isn't all his fault anyway, at least I don't think. :)

If Crompton puts on a performance like he did in that LSU game, we have a good shot at pulling this thing out.

This is what Monte had to say about the UCLA game.
""We still think we should have played better last week, without a doubt. We've got to move on to the next game, but we watched the tape today. It wasn't good enough. We can play better than that. You could win the game 13-10. There's no rule that says you can't win 13-10. The offense is going to be a little bit off some days, and your defense has got to come through."
You have got to love Monte's attitude. As a fan base we need to get behind this team and not finger point to individual players.
We came within a couple of yards of winning that game. Crompton had one bad game and there seems to be alot of pressure on him and not the team as a whole for the missed plays on offense. We need to look at this year as a starting point for the whole team. New coaches, new offensive plays, and alot of new players. Let's stand behind Lane and support the decision he is making for the team.
Everyone enjoyed the execution of plays by Crompton in the WKU game. The guy can play football. Crompton will be effective in the Florida game if the team as a whole executes their plays correctly.
Let's win the game as team. Go VOLS.

I finally had the ability to watch the game this evening on dvr since I was at the game last week. Needless to say JC had a terrible game. I didn't catch it while I was there, but UCLA should have had at least 2 more INTs. JC has his mind set on where he is throwing the ball before the snap. His actions are very scripted. Look right, pump fake, and throw. I haven't made it through the whole game... but on 2 picks he had the RB wide open with nobody around for 15 yards.

I just don't have a lot of faith in him. I say give him a half in FLA and if he doesn't get the job done... then it is time to move to Stephens and start working on next year. We don't have a great QB on the team and Stephens needs the reps.

Listen guys. I love the vols as we all do. I'm from Western NC. The same HS Heath S came from. John came from one right down the road. I went to college in Knoxville, and I am sad to see our team & JC struggling as we all are. I will support our boys, period. I will support John as well.
He is one of our local boys, and he has my support, no matter what volnation, KNS or ESPN says. John's parents are really down about this situation, as is John, which goes back to last year. Don't forget this is college football; he is an armature athlete, so let’s not scourge him with such a hot passion. You'll put a bad taste in the mouth of our communities and in the mouth of recruits to come. By the way, S Bryson & C Pickens came from our area too, and don't think the locals aren't talking about it in all the local spots. How we treat our boys counts a lot for our future with hometown areas, families, high schools, coaches & ultimately our players. It will determine whether we get some good athletes & boys with character, or just punks with skills. We praise Peyton because he had both at UT. He is an ambassador for UT, NCAA, NFL & the Colts. We have suspended boys who were hot shots in HS who never made it in college or to the pros because they were studs with attitudes.
We all want elite athletes that will represent UT well. Therefore we, as fans have a responsibility to support our school, our coach, and our boys. We have a shot at a new beginning. Whether John turns out to not be what we need to succeed or not, he is what we have. Have faith; don't lose hope vol fans because this season may seem bleak at times & may south for a time, but the Vols will rise again to national prominence. Go JC! Go VOlS!

Ok...i'm not a fan of his "facial hair". Reminds me of our high school coach giving us the whole "put milk on your face, and let the cat lick it off" shaving talk. That is pretty funny though!
