Ive seen on other threads that CLK and the staff has made a huge mistake going with Crompton at the beginning of the season and should have started Nick Stephens. I thought this too but after watching the first two games and listening to this coaching staff, we know that they want to win now. That said, if Stephens was anywhere close to Crompton he would be our starter. Our defence, running game, pretty much all parts of our team are VERY good we just dont have a QB which is the most important position in football. Unfortunately Crompton is the starter and probably the best QB we have for now. We will be competing for SEC Championships in 2 years max and no longer SEC doormats!

Yeah let's give them some credit. Fulmer never lost to a PAC 10 team at home. Congrats CLK, you're already outdoing him.

Yeah in 16 years Fulmer lost twice to mid-majors. Wyoming was after he was "fired". It only took 2 games for Kiffin to get embarrassed.

If you love CPF so much you can take a hike with him. We don't need morons like you.
Have a nice day.:)

Im sure when Phil is sitting in front of the camera this Saturday, downing his old team on national TV, that'll give you something to cheer about. And you're right, he didnt lose to UCLA at home, he lost to them on the road when he and his team was ranked in the top 20 and playing a much worse UCLA team than we did this year. I remember instead of coaching on the sidelines all Phil was doing was :clapping:

I liked Fulmer. He's gone. I'm just being critical of CLK. I don't care if those were "Fulmer's players" that lost on Saturday. Fulmer's players are a hell of a lot better than UCLA's.

How do you know UCLA is better this year? They struggled at home against SDSU who is one of the worst FBS schools.

You liked what our team did the last five years? was the under achieving, the arrests or the overall complacency that won you over?

You are misunderstanding me. I'm not saying he should go. You are exactly right. We've given him 2 home games against bad opponents and he lost 1. "Let's give him credit" is the gyst of this thread. I'm not asking for him to be fired, but I definitely don't think he deserves any credit right now.

Agreed, Fulmers player are better than UCLA's and played alot better except for one, Jonathon Crompton! Anyone that watched the game knows we lost because of JC. You cant judge any coach or his staff after 2 games, gimme a break.

Both teams had inept QB's. Neuheisal coached his to virtually a mistake free game. They passed it down field like 3 times, and that was the difference. If they threw the ball downfield like we did they would have thrown 3 picks.

Yea, especially Crompton. Quit being a dumbass man.

Great argument. Especially the "dumbass" part. If Kiffin wasn't confident in Crompton he should have started Stephens or recruited another QB. UCLA's QB blows, too, yet somehow they won.

If you didn't notice, 1 pick was a 10 yd hitch. The other pick was a 12 yrd pass going to Cottam. Not exactly going down field. The 3rd pick of course was an overthrow to an absolutely wide open Gerald Jones. Get your facts straight. Fulmer is gone, so get over it; and we are sucking this year because of Fulmer's quarterback recruiting.

Fulmer losses I can remember

ucla - twice
ms. st
memphis
vandy
wyoming

I would think Fulmer, with his losing record against ucla would be the last person to say something.

Yea, I think you're argument is better since it is essentially saying that Crompton is alot better than UCLA's quarterback. That makes a lot of sense.
