Freez took over a 2-10 team and has won every season at ole miss .Butch hasn't even sniffed a bowl game yet.
Come on, man. You got to throw in Auburn's Malzahn, too. He took over a team just as bad as Ole Mi$$'.

Where I think CBJ and staff has failed thus far is OL recruiting and development. They have mended holes through recruiting in all other position groups, but their failure in OL recruiting in his first 2 classes is biting him in the arse with every game.

Depending on the level of his involvement and responsibility for recruiting his position group, I don't know that Mahoney stays on staff after the season is over. They do have a pretty good group in the 2015 class (have my doubts about Chance Hall, though), so that might save his skin.

In the SEC, you simply cannot mask poor talent in any given position group. You will get exposed weekly until you fix it.

He's had one real recruiting class. First year was come in late and do what you can.

Two lineman he signed are starting as true freshman and will get better. You can't judge his line recruiting on one class who shouldn't even be playing yet but are forced too.

The reality of the quality of defensive line play out of every SEC team is hopefully hitting home with the coaching staff finally.

It's not that they are getting beat by the opposing teams best defensive lineman, it's their 3rd or 4th best.

When? 2016? 2017?

Because they have had two full Spring Practices, two Fall Practices, and 19 game weeks to work with Kendrick, Sanders, and Wiseman and they can't crack the starting lineup.

When a new coach takes over the biggest improvement is seen between years 1 and 2. Examples UK this year under stoops, franklins 2nd year at candy, Mullins 2nd year at state. Still waiting to see something that gives me hope, you can recruit the lights out but they don't hand out trophies for that just ask muschamp

Freeze is a good coach, and he doesn't need an allstar staff

They recruit talent then develop talent. I know a lot don't want to hear this but kiffin did a great job here coaching up his guys, he had the Sullivan twins starting on the line. Turned Crompton into a decent QB, I'm beginning to wonder if this staff can do the same.

You must be a ****ty agent because you can't read.

His first class wasn't his players. He held the class together. two true freshman are starting this year because of it. One didn't have any spring practice and only two weeks of Oline practice.

If that doesn't show you how bad of shape were in nothing will. A true freshman with two weeks of oline practice is the best we have after Dooley recruiting.

1.He's a great coach
2. He's a Mississippian
3. Loves Ole Miss
4. I'm jealous wish he was our coach
5. The Ole Miss people will hafta run this guy out of town he's not going anywhere and he's there to build a legacy and it's coming..
6. Tennessee had a guy like this who played OL for Tennessee
7. He's young..
8. Guess I'm still drunk from last night..

Let's be Honest, sadly, team 118 is not ready for prime time..... the defense fought hard for awhile.... the offense didn't make the flight. The Vols are aproaching the part of the season where many fans just wish the season was over.
Most Vol fans knew this would be a very long distressful season and they were correct.

Can't afford anymore buyouts, another bad season this year could lead to fan apathy next year similar to Dooleys 3rd year which won't help the budget.

I agree that we aren't going to do another buyout and coaching search any time soon but there is never apathy here at the start of a season. A few times we have reached apathy in November but it really takes a lot to discourage this fan base.

I can't believe people are still singing UK's praises after the way LSU exposed them last night.

I agree Tennessee has the best fans in the SEC.. All the booster folks from Ole Miss told me we had way more people there than Bama. We fans are gluttons I suppose.. We sure do love our Vols. Anyways carry on

Who was at Ole Miss before Hugh Freeze. Wasn't it Ed O. So I would bet he left Hugh a lot of talent to work with. I mean all the Vol fans were happy with his recruiting when he was here at Tenn for a year. Most of us knows what Dooley left Butch to work with.
