Trump: "I'm actually, I guess, the chief law enforcement officer of the country."

Reality: Bill Barr, the Attorney General, is the top law enforcement officer of the country. Per the Constitution, a President has ZERO law enforcement power. As the head of the executive branch, it's the President's job to implement the laws, not enforce them. Thus, Trump's claims reveal what anyone paying attention already knows: Trump believes that his power is truly unlimited.

If Bill Barr fails to resign in protest to this and the other efforts by Trump to usurp his power, then he has proved himself to be nothing more than Trump's lapdog.

He's investigating the fake Fisa's and corruption that shouldn't have went on 3 years and now everyone on the left says he needs to resign because of the targets.

Sounds like a quid pro quo to me.

I’ve got a quote to . Ahem , hi I’m an emotionally distraught liberal that hates Trump . I spend my free time reading his tweets , listening to CNN and MSNBC hoping they will give me some dirt on him so I can spend the rest of my time crying about him being horrible , while I ignore the absolute mess our party is in right now .... every vocal liberal on this forum -2020

One thing I have heard from people who don’t plan to vote for Trump is “he's getting too much power”. When I ask what this means they say well he said this or he thinks this or he suggested this. I can suggest I’m the CEO of Amazon, but unfortunately it’s not reality. Trump is no different than many previous administrations that test the fences regarding their authority and are put in their place by the courts or other mechanisms. We have the best system of government on the planet bar none. Our checks and balances ensure no one gains too much power. Trump can think or misspeak however he wants, we have laws and regs that lay it all out. To be “concerned” about his statements is to further the fearmongering that permeates nearly every piece of coverage these days.
