Let the Tailgating Begin......

I have gotten somewhat over the UCLA loss and I am ready for some tailgating! Just curious what time everyone else was going to start tailgaiting Saturday for the UAB game?

I am hoping to be down there and setup by 8:30, no later than 9:00. I might not have a beer cracked open by then, but I plan on being down there getting the grill ready. Last time I started drinking that early it wasn't pretty.

I plan on being on campus by 7:30 at the latest. Where is everyone planning on setting up at?

Taking my 6 year old son. We'll just be getting there for the Vol Walk, then the band, then we'll grab a sandwich on the strip, then hit our seats. No tailgating for a noon-thirty game for me.

I'll be there setting up at 6:30 AM to get a good spot, and will crack open my first cold one around 7:30 AM, with many more to follow. I'll get the grill going early with burgers, dogs, and chicken.

parking on campus is all by permit only. But there are places on campus that you can tailgate. The problem though is getting you things unloaded and loaded back again. Best bet is to tailgate north of cumberland avenue somewhere.

Gonna Stop at Perkins on the way out of TRI Cities I think.

Roll into campus, see the Vol Walk, Fight Back Tears as I hear Rocky Top on the Hill, and then roll into the Stadium to see the VOLS Burn the Blazers!

Unless this year is different, if you're there early enough you can park on the street pretty much anywhere. I park over on Volunteer by the Non-Commuter garage.

That is what I plan on doing. What time would you think I would have to get there to get one of those spots?

My advice to you is, start drinking heavily!
