Let’s revisit the brawl

I remember my step-dad who is a Tennessee fan bringing this game up as the catalyst for Dale Brown to tell Shaq to head to the pros. I'm all for hack a Shaq because without it he would have averaged 50 a game. However, I wouldn't want to be on receiving end of an elbow from Shaq.

I remember an incident with Eric Montross(RIP) and Shaq that Montross was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Dale Brown was a clown. Another classic was the Dan Federman buzzer beater put back for the win after LSU’s clock operator didn’t start the game clock for several seconds. Brown took the PA announcer’s mic and told the crowd to not leave and they’ll replay the last possession. While Devoe was putting his team on the bus.

Another infamous LSU moment - Doug Roth flipping off the LSU crowd.

Any idea where you could find the video of Roth giving the LSU fans the bird?

I never really want anyone to get decked, but if Brown had been decked in all that I wouldn't care too much.

Dale Brown had Shaq for three years and couldn’t win a championship. He is one of the SECs most overrated coach. He threw a punch at Carlus and should have been fired.
Not only that, but had Stanley Roberts as well...Two 7-footers and couldn't beat Georgia Tech, whose tallest starter was 6-8...LOL

He also had Chris Jackson, who was a better college player than both O'Neal and Roberts, yet couldn't get out of the second round of the NCAA tourney and lost 10 games every year. I always hated hearing people give him credit for trying to "protect" his 7-1, 330 pound wrecking ball of a center after this non-dangerous foul by Groves. I wish he had gotten knocked out, fake tough guy knowing Groves couldn't respond to him. I can't remember a time I was more pissed off at an opposing coach than that day I was watching this game.

I was actually ashamed of the way we played against Shaq that led to this. That's not basketball. But, Brown should have been suspended maybe forever for entering that fray and creating most of this. Remember watching it live.

I’m not. Rules are exploited all the time. Purdue put Edey in the paint way more than 3 seconds because refs wouldn’t call the violations.

TBF, Shaq was much skinnier in college. More like 285. Point still stands, though.
