Let’s hold off on the couch burning and plane tracking for another 3-4 games

Way to many fans dont want to see how many players left from a team that wasnt very good last year.
Lossing at home to a decent team is never fun but for the players and level of talent I thought the team played okay overall but the QB play was pretty with what other teams can do.
Many fans will blame the coaches but it's tough to win without good players. Look at Texas's coach that looked great at bama but could score with Texas roster vs Arkansas.
Some wins will come see if the team grows as the season goes along.

Pitt brought an experienced TEAM into K'town. Big O-line and a very solid QB. Give Pitt credit, and weren't they betting favorite?

UT looked much better than last year, and could have won the game with better QB play. Can't miss wide open plays for scores and expect to win close games. Too many penalties too. Clean that up and complete the easy passes and they'll win the games they're supposed to win.

Does it really matter in the end? Coach after coach comes and fails. We haven’t had good QB or OL play in 9 years. Haven’t had a good pass rush since Barnett. Point is coach after coach comes and the suck remains. We are a coaching graveyard.

I wonder if coach would have left Milton in if he had not gotten hurt.
It's pretty evident Milton doesn't have it. I was on board with Milton until I saw how he performed in the first qtr.

The question now is, will JH do what the prior coach did? Will Milton be the starter next week?

Might want to sticky this. Heupel ain’t the guy. Unfortunately, even if we had a blank check, there’s no one that would come to this steaming pile of excrement. We gonna be like the Israelites wandering in the desert for 40 years. This is the new norm for UT football. Better get used to it.
Oh, aren't you the bringer of joy?

I’ve learned my lesson. I was all for giving Dooley, Jones, Pruitt time for their process to return UT to a champion. I hung in there with them because I believed a coach needed some time to recruit and change a losing culture. All the while VolNation was screaming FIRE THEM. I now know how wrong I was.

After losing his first game as head coach, Huepel has shown he’s not the guy. Call in the lawyers, cut losses and start the search for a 100% win guy. No use fighting. Just give up and move on.
This may be the most stupid thing I will ever read.

I like Coach. And I love this offense. The style. The pace.

What I don't like is that terrible bad play call to run it right up the middle on 4th and short. And I don't like the fact Milton can't throw the ball into the ocean if he was standing on the beach.

If we had a QB that truly fit this offense we would be a very competitive football team and would surprise a lot of teams.

At this point I think it's more on the players and not the coach. Coach gave Milton several plays in a row to get a passing TD. Milton had plenty of time but couldn't hit the receivers. A few were wide open.

Coach has set this team up to be successful. The players have to execute. And it all starts at QB.

It might not be a "terrible bad play call," but bad execution. Watch the left tackle, and on the right, the TE and H back ignore the edge rushers. Block those guys and Wright probably gets the first down up the middle. But instead, those three lunge inside and clog the middle and leave two rushers unaccounted for... and they make the play.

Problem isn't that he can't hit the ocean, the problem is that he would hit Europe..........

If you think we are supposed to go undefeated this year after all that has happened you may need to take up watching chess. SMH We have an entirely new coaching staff, a new offensive and defensive scheme, lost a record number of players to the transfer portal, not to mention we are thin in some key spots. Pitt was probably the most experienced team we will play this year. With all this going on, we still should have won the game. I am hoping the QB job is Hooker's. I think if he had started we win the game. To say that we should just fire Heupel after two games and start a coaching search is insane. We have scored more points in two games than we scored all year last year. If you think ANY coach with any power 5 experience would take the job if we run Heupel off after two games, you are insane. We need to stop with all this crap. It makes us look stupid as fan base. What has happened to us in the past is not this staff's fault. If you can not see this team is much better than last year's team, you know nothing about football. This team would curb stomp last year's team.

I agree on the 4th down call. Maybe Hooker made the wrong read but that was terrible. While Hooker made throws that Milton simply wouldn’t have made, he also turned it over twice. That might be why he’s behind Milton. He might be a turnover machine. We need to find out though because he is definitely a better passer than Milton.

There is no reason to believe Heupel is the guy.

There is no reason to believe Heupel is not the guy.
Exactly! He’s a total crapshoot. While we figure it out I’m glad our offense is entertaining. The Pruitt years were like watching a Kevin O’Neill basketball team.

Our offensive line was atrocious in about every way yesterday.

Only Huepel’s biggest fans are tossing out the fire Huepel strawman.

It is a thinly veiled attempt to demonize anyone critical of the coach, and program.

Don’t fall for it.

I wouldn’t say it’s just Huepel’s supporters throwing it out. There are plenty of non-supporters on here who genuinely believe he isn’t the right coach and based off of our recent history they are probably right but he deserves more than two games to determine it

Tough to win when the players they do have are committing idiotic penalties, missing wide open throws, and the coach is calling plays that get blown up 2 yards in the backfield on 4th and short as well.
