Time to break down and pull the trigger. Reports of players wanting miles. He is a good coach. Could use good coordinators and he is better than any other names out there. Pull the fricking trigger currie
It seems like Chump Currie would have contacted him by now so Les probably doesn't want it. Plus he would still have to play Saban every year........he doesn't want that.
The money is good. He wont expect same as he had at lsu. Ok state was contemplating going for him when gundy talked to us. It makes sense. Bring chavis back to run the d. Or throw money at steele for dc.
The big thing is if offered. Will this dumpster fire of currie davenport and the haslam money be too naive to see the potential positivity in this? Its all about the big money. If haslam doesnt like it its not an option. Why else would schiano be no1 choice over gundy. Or hell anyone at that matter. Miles is the logical choice. Unfortunately logic is what we are struggling with in the AD. Im really close from letting my season tickets go. I do donate. Not much but enough. More than those jack wagons deserve. I know i am not the only one in the same mental state right now like this. It is time for the university to decide. Do they want to go cheap and get doren/morris? Or make a logical choice of miles and WIN. its either they want the small donors real fans to stay or choose small and he can depend on haslam and his cleveland brown college to pay for his stupid empty stadium.
I guarantee miles would take the job. He is a smart guy. Crazy but smart. He sees the talent there. Players always have loved this guy. He is the peoples coach.

I saw it reported that Les had contacted the AD to express his interest. His buyout with LSU requires him to seek comparable employment to mitigate the buy out.
Yes preferably someone not fired for not meeting expectations in one of the better recruiting areas of the nation. If he failed there he will certainly fail here where recruiting is more difficult.
I'd still be for Tee or Kiffin, but at this point I have no problem with Les Miles being our coach.
We'll be tough as nails on D (we've lacked toughness on that side for a LONG time now) plus Les is going to have a chip on his shoulder with something to prove to everyone who says he can't coach anymore.
