Les Miles

Doesn't develop QB's at all.

We have a 5 star QB with 3 years of eligibility left who needs major developing.

I am not against Les being coach. I am against the Les/Tee partnership people are talking about regardless of the "feel good" story.

Tee is a WR coach and coordinator. Les' track record with QB's is horrible.

This is not a good marriage.
The statement does not develop QB's at all is based on what?

What QB went to LSU under Miles and upon leaving has some lightspeed development go on? I mean from his resume I saw bad choices in QB's maybe guys with low ceilings.

How do you define QB development? His QB's produced obviously because they put a lot of high round WR's in the NFL. Most of those guys didn't develop more either.

The pattern I see if that they recruited a lot of low ceiling high talent guys and got all out of them they could.

There aren't many, if any, coaches who have accomplished so little with so much talent except Al Golden - the greatest underachiever of the 2010s.

"Accomplished so little"?????? What are some of you people smoking? Seriously???

You folks would find something to complain about if Robert Neyland rose from the dead are returned as our coach.

Maybe some of the national media were right about at least some Vol fans.

Go get your latest "exciting" Pac 10 cream puff who will give you 44 points a game (while giving up 50). Just dont come whining back hete in three yeats suddenly wanting a coach who gives up less than 1000 yards a game.

Unbelievable!!!!!

Again, you guys do realize that Bama kept LSU from winning a couple of NC’s? They were playing Florida with Urban, Bama with Saban, Auburn with Cam, Miss St with Dak, and A&M with Johnny for the latter part of Miles career at LSU. And he was still hovering around the 9-3/10-2 range every year with the exception of an 8-5.

Wake up folks. We just went 4-8. We’re not getting any better than Les, and he WANTS the job! I’m sure there were some folks at Miami U who didn’t want Richt....

I feel that the game has passed him by and that even when LSU told him to update his offense he was unable to do so and that is what got him fired.

Just about any coach will be left behind at some point as the game always continues to evolve, so I am not trying to be overly negative and I have nothing personal against the man as he had a good run.

Would you take Fulmer over Les than? hypothetically?

It makes little sense to me to fire a guy...

Doesn't make much sense to pay a guy $75m + incentives who just went 5-6 in his 10th year at the school.... to replace a guy that went 7-5... but who said any of this makes sense? :)

Common sense went out the window a few years ago when it comes to college football.

Bring it. Not to mention we just went 4-8 PLAYING IN THE EAST. Hire Les, give Tee the keys to the offense, and hire a strong staff, and let's ride.

What you guys don't understand is that Les Miles is a pure HEAD COACH. Nick Saban has the edge because he understand defense.

People underestimate how IMPORTANT the assistants are. The OC/DC specifically.

Les took over Nick Saban's team right? NO ---- he RETAINED Jimbo Fisher. And we know how special that guy is.

If Les comes in and TN/Fulmer/Manning helps out in getting the right OC/DC... then would you guys be in favor of Les?

Here is the NUMBER 1 thing I want Les. This is NOT a stepping stone job for him. If he lands at TN, he's not going anywhere.

I don't want TN to feel like a stepping stone job.

If we go this route, We'll be doing this again in 4.5 years. We'll avg 3.5 rank in the east.
