It does not matter what his record was against Florida and Georgia. Those 2 teams will be on another level for the foreseeable future. We need a coach who can win against superior talent. I think one such coach who fits that category is Mike Leach.Well he coached in the West. I dont know what his record is against Fla and Ga but to say Les is mediocre is not accurate. If you wanna say he is old or quirky or whatever then thats fine. But Id put his resume up against anybody out there. Who is the guy you want? We may be in agreement after all. I just dont know who you want.
Haha! That is a funny joke. Mullen has been winning at MS, which is traditionally one of the worst SEC teams. He has had nothing but 2 and 3 stars and will be awesome at Florida with their talent level. Also, Florida always beats us regardless of who is on their sideline. Meanwhile, Les Miles was pretty mediocre and got fired from LSU, one of the best programs of the new millennium. Ed Orgeron is winning there for Christ's sake! If our best option is a washed up coach that nobody wants we are in deep doo doo.
114-34 at LSU.
1 national championship
2 SEC championships
3 SEC west titles
Assistants who coached under Miles who have gone on to be head coaches:
Mike Gundy
Jimbo Fisher
Bo Pelini
Larry Porter
Bradley Peveto
Todd Monken
Frank Wilson
What am I missing? Why wouldn't we have been on this dude immediately?
Again,Mediocre huh?

My point was LSU always has great talent... Any halfway decent coach is going to win 9 or 10 games a year there. I brought up him taking over for Saban because he took over the year after Saban's national title! That is a huge advantage. You cant have out both ways and say Miles won with Sabans Talent and not admit that LSU right now is surviving on Miles talent.
Again,
He took over for Saban at a program that always has elite talent. All those numbers tell me is he was not incompetent even though he had multiple losses nearly every year. But there is a big difference between being competent and great.
