Les Miles for Tennessee's HC

This is a good time to bring new coach in. We will have a lot of turnover next year on both sides of the ball while also breaking in a new QB. Butch is a 10-2, 9-3 guy. He has never won more. 10 million may sound like a lot but it is over 4 years. Plus Butch will land a job somewhere so I doubt we pay more than half of it. Harbaugh gets 9 million a year. We might get some discount with Les as he is getting LSU money too.

There is no denying Butch Jones restocked the program from all time lows. However, this is as far as Butch will take you. From his days at Cincinnati, he is known to blow a game or two each season on his blunders. (I went to UC during Brian Kelly's time and followed Butch's progress)

Les Miles just got fired. No buyout associated. He was a good QB away from competing with Saban every year. Built a great program at LSU. His downfall was inability to evolve in offense. Seems like he is assembling a new team and also studying spread offenses. I think if we want to upgrade, this is a good time to go and get him. If not us, someone else will pick him up soon. Too good of a coach to be sitting at home. He is 63. Still can give us 4-5 good years.

This is not a knee jerk reaction. Even if we were sitting at 10-2 and headed to SEC CG, I would advocate getting Les Miles. If nothing else, he will be hands down best coach in the east.

Are you out of your mind? Les Miles was a good coach at LSU in a state with AWESOME high school talent. He is absolutely horrible for offense. GET REAL

Really a lot of TURNOVER. Maybe you should check that out again.

Given the massive buyout attached to Jones, he owns UT for a long time and a new coach shouldn't even be mentioned because there is no way it happens.

Thank goodness. I bet Hart was crunching numbers right after this thread went up.

Miles did less with more than any coach I've ever seen

Ya'll complaining about Butch being stubborn? Les Miles is exactly the same. He wouldn't change up his game philosophy and it cost him his job at LSU. Why would he be any different from Butch?
