Lennon Creer

my theory....

if he isn't in your top 3 in the depth and you don't expect him to play atleast 15-20% of your snaps (which Poole right now is neither) then go ahead and redshirt him

Any RB worth is salt is not going to stick around for 5 years so why not have him available for 4? With an 85 scholarship limit, you don't want scholarships taken by redshirts who are marginal or have been injured and probably should not return for health reasons (eg Jakouri & Holbert).

If they are being considered for a position switch then redshirt them. But true RBs should never be redshirted. The career life of an RB is too short.

I agree, but what if that player makes a personal request to be redshirted?

Lennon will be one of the best RB in College period, Tennessee is a team wrap around the Quater back, and Fulmer never speaks of any of the rest of the team at all. You guys on here is don't know aobut football at all, what can any of the backs do when you give them the ball 3 to 4 times a game and its your first year in college Lennon did a good job last year and didnot get redshirt. I have some books for the guys that don;t know football.

Well, I think he will end up being one of the better backs we've had, but you really have no argument. He received most of his carries against lesser talented teams. 22/36 of his carries were against Southern Miss, Arkansas St, and Louisiana Lafayette. If you take out those games, he averaged 2.2 yards per carry with 24 yards on 11 carries. That's against SEC teams.

Every single one of your posts have concerned Lennon Creer. I'm guessing you know him some how. Oh, and news flash, football is centered around the QB.

Creer is having a hard time holding on to his position on the depth chart. He's not doing bad but its Poole being that good.

for those guys don't Know Football, The quaterback can't be great without the rest first. Example Troy Aikman Waht one of the best Because of Play Makers like Michael Irvin and Emmit Smith, OF course you guys don't know he went down when those guys letf of course you guys don't football.:dance2:

Remember a guy named Travis Henry? That is who Poole puts me in mind of, when I see him in action. This is just my opinion but he is a really a tough back that don't go down very easy. I am just basing this on his videos and what I saw of him in the O&W game. Others may have a different opinion.

Ive always been a fan of redhshirting players, to give them a year to build up muscle and speed, figure out the offense/defense and be better in the coming years. With us being very deep at RB, I would wanna see Poole redshirted.

Weren't there reports that Poole was a work out warrior who pretty much showed up ready to go from a physical standpoint?

From what little I've seen, I agree with your comparison with maybe a cross with Hardesty... hopefully without the injuries though.
