Lennon Creer gone!?

...completely abandoned by Cutcliffe in some of our bigger games even though he was running well...

...and rushed for over 1100 yards. Ask Jamal Lewis and Travis Henry whether Cutcliffe's RBs get enough carries to make it to the NFL.

Those guys would have gone to the NFL if Richard Simmons had coached them.

...so then Creer's NFL chances are more related to his talent level than they are to him playing for Cutcliffe...since we agree that Cutcliffe runs the ball enough to get good backs to the NFL

You're the only poster that's mentioned the NFL. Cut throws the ball a lot. Ask Arian Foster how much Cut liked the running game when he was averaging 7+ a pop against Bama and our future Blue Devil decided to pass the ball every down. Ask Montario Hardesty what it's like to sit on the bench the entire game.

I'm sure that's a big factor in Creer's decision...the reason he won't go to Duke is because there is not much talent there--not because he is afraid he won't get the ball enough.

Chris Donald was the #1 LB a couple of years ago and has yet to pick up the college game. Vinson was rated the #1 prep school player if I'm not mistaken.

Go back and look at the past few #1 RBs and the about the past 7 or 8 #1 overall players. I don't think Rivals has really mised on any of those kids. Some may have underachieved a little (McKnight), but for the most part the ratings have been solid. It seems to me that they are better rating the #1 player and the RBs than any other position on the field...
